I love people, and non-human animals, trees, rocks and the soil.
I bike all year round.
I like silly jokes, and have a rather juvenile sense of humour.
I like climbing trees, playing in the mud
One of my favourite qoutes is " Do not compete with pigs in mud, because, one they will win and two they will enjoy it all"
I play soccer, enjoy running.
I believe strongly that life is a series of moments ( or some kind of imperfect bean pod) some we enjoy, some we will never want to relive, some we will never forget, some will fizzle at the instant they are opened.
I would describe myself as queer and I relate with others from that queer space, but I take the label of straight/hetero because I live the privileges of presenting so.
I have always dreamed of another world, and the possibility of that world within the one I find myself. I believe in acting for social change, challenging all forms of oppression ( homophobia, transphobia, racism, sexism, capitalist exploitation, colonization, ableism...), as well as unlearning where I find myself implicated. I am committed to these struggles.
These struggles define who I am and I enjoy being part of them. I am happiest when I am doing decolonization work, dancing, homeschooling my son ( who is too brilliant to be in school), cooking for family ( chosen and biological), playing mbira, marimba and drums and singing.
I am interested in meeting folks who are open.
We can still connect if we have other interests in common, i.e political organizing, academic research and music ( which are one and the same thing to me).
