My self-summary
There are only two seasons in Chicago: winter and construction. It looks like winter is on hold for now so it's time for some profile work.

I observe and remember things. I'm a bit of a smartass. Sometimes I don't get jokes. Sometimes I ruin them by guessing the punchline ahead of time. Let's be honest, most of what people put here is either a total cliché or something that sounds good but doesn't tell you about what kind of a person they are. At least you know what my writing style is like!
What I’m doing with my life
Feeling the corporate crunch right now. Hoping to get back to a fun and happy life soon!

Some things that I like to spend my free time on:
- Camping (canoe camping is the best balance between minimalist backpacking and comfortable car camping)
- Bikes
- Being bad at playing the harmonica and ukulele
- Being even worse at playing the guitar
- Some classes that I'm taking which are pretty cool but also fairly stressful
- Being with friends and going to dinner, bars, shows, or doing nothing in particular at all
I’m really good at
Standing upright on the L.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food

I'm a sucker for the apocalypse. But not apocalyptic food. Emergency rations aren't something I'd like to eat every day.

The most private thing I'm willing to admit:
I totally skipped over the huge list of bands you listed in your profile.

Cream soda is the best soda. Gala apples are the best apples.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
"It contributes greatly towards a man's moral and intellectual health to be brought into habits of companionship with individuals unlike himself, who care little for his pursuits, and whose sphere and abilities he must go out of himself to appreciate." - Narrator, "The Scarlet Letter," Nathaniel Hawthorne.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
It takes me three tries to successfully plug in a USB cable.
