My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
In short, I recently(ish) relocated from Queensland to Melbourne. I'd heard it was fantastic and that I'd love it. It is and I did, so I'm staying. I like going out - restaurants, bars, stand-up comedy, cafes, libraries, theatres, seeing nearly any type of music played live. Living close to the CBD makes all this very easy and I do these fairly often. I live in South Yarra/Prahran and play in Northcote/Thornbury.

What you should know about me: throughout my life, I've reaped the rewards of conveying unconditional positive regard to strangers. Consequently, I've made remarkable acquaintances and built extraordinary friendships. On the other hand, I have little tolerance for snobbery. I find it utterly boring and usually unmerited. Equally, I have no time for wankers, bitches, gossips, alphas, sloppy drunks, tweakers, exclusive hipsters (inclusive hipsters are fine), or bigots. Bogans I can handle.

For more info: Okcupid gave me lots of questions to answer and I'm pretty sure they're using the data to do something dystopic. So, please peruse them to get a glimpse into my psyche and behaviour. If we've answered a few similarly - there's some chance we share similar outlooks and will get along. If we haven't, who cares? It's not a psychometric test (or is it?). Well, what I mean is, don't take it too seriously.

Interestingly, I've been writing comedy with a professional stand-up comic for around 6 years, and I simply can't translate that humour into this profile. Is that ironic?

Fiction and non-fiction. All genres and topics. I tend to follow themes and read several of an author's works (not necessarily related to each other), and at the moment I'm working through Nabokov's novels and researching modern Greek history (case in point).

I like films by Woody Allen, David Cronenberg, the Cohen Bros, the Coppolas, Wes Anderson, Martin Scorsese, Quentin Tarantino, and many, many others.

TV series like Orphan Black, Orange is the New Black, Ray Donovan, In the Flesh, Broadchurch, Utopia, Fargo, Black Mirror, The Office (BBC), Curb Your Enthusiasm, True Detective, Vikings, OZ, Carnivale, In Treatment, Breaking Bad, Damages, Game of Thrones, Boston Legal, Frasier, Oz, Mad Men, Peaky Blinders, House of Cards, Frasier, Treme, Top of the Lake.
