My self-summary
New to the OKC area. Grew up in Canada. Hoping my visa doesn't expire in the near future. Somedays I feel like Robin on how I met your mother. It really is tough to be a canadian in the South.

I could always marry a beautiful Oklahoma gal to guarantee my American citizenship?

As far as other things about me besides being Canadian and living in OKC? Well I guess I can do a few cool tricks like snowboard and downhill ski. But then again there really aren't a lot of ski hills for that. I guess I'm in the wrong geographic area to impress anyone in a few paragraphs.

I guess some of you may be impressed that I am pretty good at shooting skeet. Yes, canadians have guns too.
What I’m doing with my life
Teaching math. Nothing is funner than a good math problem from time to time. Once you get it right, it is such a feeling of accomplishment. Kind of like that feeling of going from lost to found. Ahhhhh.
I’m really good at
Judo. I'm working on my third dan. I've been involved with Kodokan Judo for 15 years now and have spent the last five years teaching it. Also singing the Canadian National Anthem which most people only know the first two words of. There is more than just "Oh Canada"

I also tend to be pretty decent at manipulating lots of people to do what I want. I guess that either makes me a sociopath or a teacher. I will let you decide.
The first things people usually notice about me
My eyes but also my canadian accent. I'm really not joking about the accent. We tend to say eh a lot whereas you guys tend to pronounce words like bag, rag and flag wrong. A can be pronounced two ways you know.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Audacity of hope, all the king's men, the three musketeers, tale of two cities. How I met your mother, Friday night Lights. Country and Rock. I love fleetwood mac. Food -- nothing beats a grilled salmon.

My favorite beer would probably have to be Spaten. Canada just can't brew a single good beer. It is probably the only one thing we suck at creating.
The six things I could never do without
Math, books, beer, free time, clean air, Canada.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
My future. What I can do to leave a lasting impact on this world and whether I am leading a life that I am proud of. Also why Americans think the Canadian health care system is so terrible. It is awesome!
On a typical Friday night I am
Unwinding from a long week of work. Probably either in the paseo or bricktown area. However Paeo > Bricktown.

I may also be doing the typical teacher thing of grading papers, writing lesson plans or doing various research projects.

However, I am most definitely not afraid to have fun during the weekend.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I once got chased up a tree by pigs. I was picking crab apples in Manitoba Canada and these pigs came out of nowhere chasing me hoping to steal my apples. I ditched the apples and climbed a tree so they wouldn't ravage me. I stayed up in the tree until the pigs disappeared and so did my apples. I definitely lost but I returned the favor by eating a ham sandwhich. This is also the first dating website I've joined. I guess bible belt . . .
