My self-summary
Happiness, one day at a time.

Smart, strange, kind, creative, passionate man, who somewhere along the way grew into a decent human being.
What I’m doing with my life
"And I never started to plow in my life
That some one did not stop in the road
And take me away to a dance or picnic.
I ended up with forty acres;
I ended up with a broken fiddle—
And a broken laugh, and a thousand memories,
And not a single regret."
I’m really good at
Seeing patterns. Telling tall tales. Being curious. Understanding systems. Balancing things on my chin. Co-creating scenius. Being inspired by good ideas. More.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Are all wonderful things. Instead of talking about those, I've written some of my own OKC questions.....

1. Consider the quote "Don’t ask what the world needs. Ask what makes you come alive, and go do it. Because what the world needs is people who have come alive." - reading that, what pops into your mind?

2. What were you doing the last time you met someone? The time before that?

3. Consider Venkatesh Rao's definition of social objects. What are yours? What are mine? Wild guesses and imaginative flights of fancy are encouraged.
The six things I could never do without
Climbing shoes.

Rope. (no, not that kind, the *other* kind. Judicious searching on Fetlife reveals all.)

Community. (Not in the abstract, but the concrete experiences of friends' intertwined lives.)

Laughter. Divine, joyous, ridiculous appreciation and wonder.
(that's all one thing! I swear.)

Also: burritos, sun, kissing, a good pocketknife, and more laughter. :D
I spend a lot of time thinking about
1: making/doing/organizing things; one of my dream jobs is building a camp for contact improv dancers at Burningman. Sexy self-aware people, in touch with their bodies, and into connection and play. Me building and managing and fixing and making it all work. Maybe I'll do the same sort of thing in a Jordanian refugee camp, or in a trans rights NGO in the city, or....

2: I'm slightly terrible at first dates, and much prefer when we're focused on something else: a rock climbing wall, or a rope bondage workshop, or an exuberant music/art/culture thing. Let the chemistry bloom quietly, a charge almost unfelt beneath the flesh, until you find yourself making out against the wall in a midnight divebar, enraptured with wine and flesh and pleasure.

3. (no, really, read it the Venkatesh Rao thing! Because fun conceptual model for understand the social world...) Coffee. Burritos. Mac laptops. iPhones. High quality tools that come with lifetime warranties. REI. climbing shoes. playa dust. IPA. Robert Anton Wilson. a passport. A toybag.
On a typical Friday night I am
Tying someone up.

I have many stories, many interests, many passions. I love speculating about human nature, arguing about linguistics and ethics; I am endlessly curious and fascinated by the world.

When it comes to sex, it's all about BDSM. I love kissing, and holding hands, and long walks on the beach...but first and foremost, I'm simply, undeniably wired for kink. My ideal lover wants a spanking before, during, and after said walk on the beach, whether that's part of a brief hookup or a lifelong partnership.
You should message me if
My favorite people are intelligent, playful, quick to laugh, perceptive, and appreciative of the wonder of being alive. If that's you, come on over to this side of the table.
