My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
Recently moved to Barcelona (first time in Europe!) from San Francisco after living there for 14 years. Have been living in BCN for 2 1/2 months. Attended SFSU as a literature major with an emphasis on linguistics. Was recently certified as a TEFL educator. Founded and hosted two reading series for writers, one of which goes strong to this day. Worked as a book-seller, an intern editor at McSweeney's, an event photographer for bands and burlesque shows, a butcher (3 years), a seller of fine wine and spirits (4 years) a bartender, a cook, a barista, a video editor, a film-set gaffer, an actor, and a composer of electronic music (Decoy Trigger on Soundcloud)—yes, my interests, obsessions and need for creative, often provocative, experiences squared me among a variety of roles during my SF years. Now I want to simplify and just enjoy tutoring English.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
Learning more Spanish day-by-day. Looking for new friends here in BCN.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Collaborating/brain storming art and writing projects.

I can provide boatloads of ideas if others can provide a structure—behind every fountain is an architect.

Cooking's a thing I do and I do it well. Yet, without company, I resort to fulfilling nutritional needs, forsaking the development of complex flavors. With company at hand, I'll work the kitchen for hours—I used to be a cook (two years) back in the US, and this experience lives in my veins.

Collages: I've had a slew of gallery shows and sell my work. The process of making one brings an odd peace to my conduct.

Photo/videography: over 7 years of event photography experience, and I've worked the camera in 12 different films.

It seems that I write at least one film script a year. The most recent one was bought and production of the film is in full-swing right now. I also like to write short fiction, poetry/prose poems, experimental work, and the odd essay here and there. When I respond to my friends' messages, I write in complete paragraphs with proper punctuation (a standard I don't expect from others—it's just my way).
The first things people usually notice about me

Taller than most.

Vampiric canines (pointy teeth, though slightly goofy in length).

More likely than not a hat rides upon my head.

Some say when I'm listening to music on headphones while walking among the public that I look like I'm heading to a funeral. That may be a fitting description but it's far from reality: it's more of a non-expression as my attention is focused elsewhere, that is, on the music. Really, I'm enjoying the sound!

On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
amidst unexpected, sometimes intrepid, company, or at home doing my at-home stuff. Both options are good.

I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
