I am a multi-cultured Lebanese-American, born in Beirut, and have called many countries my home, including France, Switzerland, Saudi Arabia, Venezuela, and Lebanon.

I've been in this great city of ours for about 8 years and I am looking forward to spending more time discovering its history, its bike routes, and random musings of its denizens.

I currently speak 3 languages (english, arabic, and french) and bastardize Spanish on a daily basis. I almost prefer to be sun-soaked, on a bike, with friends or solo, and taking a more empathetic approach to my surroundings. You'll probably catch me talking to my trusted bicycle (Pierre) or zooming around the city. I'm a fan of watching nature happen, be it in the park or on a park median in the middle of a busy intersection. (Nature happen: pigeons evading capture by a red-tailed hawk circling from above). I am a certified mediator and barista.

I graduated with my masters degree in conflict analysis and resolution from George Mason University and started an organization focusing on Arab issues from an Arab conflict resolution lens. I also manage a coffeehouse/bar/lounge.

I cofounded the first LGBTQ rights organization in Lebanon called Helem. Check it out!

I have often thought of incorporating architectural theory as it relates to issues of resolving economic and social conflict and always could do with a good sounding board.

I'm really good at cooking, lending an ear, making friends and myself laugh and being creative towards challenges and obstacles that cross my path.

True to my nature, I am also good at wreaking havoc with my charm and smile.

My favorite books include Confessions of a Mask by Yukio Mishima, The Abyss by Marguerite Yourcenar, andThe Sun Also Rises by Ernest Hemingway. The Hakawati by Rabih Alameddine.

I enjoy film noir, European house films. I also enjoy watching sci-fi and anime flics. I recently watched Querelle by Fassbinder.

I am a house head and enjoy most forms of house, world music and the occasional American folk rock band. The Junior Boys, Bloc Party, Mazzy Star, Santogold, Massive Attack, MGMT, Nina Hagen, Goldfrapp, Groove Armada, LCD Soundsystem, Crystal Castles, Kylie Minogue, Kelis, Fairouz, Basement Jaxx, and PJ Harvey are a few of my favorite bands.
