Books: Some good ones are On Writing (nonfiction; Stephen King), Duma Key (mystery/horror; also King), Michael Tolliver Lives (LGBT fiction; Armistaud Maupin), The Tipping Point (nonfiction; Malcolm Gladwell), The Elegant Universe (nonfiction; Brian Greene), and The Tale of Despereaux (children's fiction; Kate DiCammillo). I've also enjoyed the Harry Potter, Game of Thrones, and The Lord of the Rings books.
