My Self-Summary
So, about me... Why am I bothering to write this in the first place? Because I'm curious about this matching algorithm thing and to find new friends. Does it work? Do you know if it works? Aren't you curious?
Some say my inner child is louder than most, but my mind resides within a wise old brain. Sometimes I feel like this is the Nth time I'm living through a lifetime, it's hard to explain.
If there was one word to define me it'd be Explorer. I like to experience new and exotic places. "What's behind that tree? How's the view from that hilltop? Where does this road lead to?"
I've lived in a few interesting locations on this planet, and traveled to many others. I feel this world was made to be walked upon and be learned from, so in my perfect life, if I could right now blink and be that, I'd be a globe walker. Yes, on foot. Fine, I'd ride a bike just as glady.
I also believe in sharing, a lot.
I'm into science, nature (especially deserts), politics, a wide spectrum of music genres, some gaming, and I get a kick out of modern architecture and design.
Deserts are a very special place for me. I did research in the desert during college and that is where I left my heart. The immensity of the distances make me feel... minuscule, insignificant almost, when faced with the vastness of the planet, the precipitous sky. I like to feel very, very small out there. This sounds corny but it is the way it is, when you feel one with the eternity of the ever-lasting present, no past, no future, just the "now", you and all the other sister atoms around you, you see yourself beyond your skin and behind your mind, it's endless.
Additionally, this is way more enjoyable if done nude.
What I’m doing with my life
I'm moving to "the city" in a few months, I'm dreading finding a place for me and my cats, but it'll be worth it, close to work, less time spent on bart. Besides, I can't live all these years (10 now) in the bay and not live in the city, I have to experience that, at least once.
My time off consist of internet surfing, surfing internet, some gaming, more internet (someone has to read all this content!), bike ride, walk through the financial district/embarcadero (love those skyscrapers!), nature drive, camping sometimes, playing the guitar, singing, whistling, being silly.
I’m really good at
whistling, geometry, math, science, analyzing, testing, exploring, and sharing opinions
I did a lot of skateboarding and freestyle bmx as well. As in like, 15 years of it, but that's now in the past, it's not good for my back, so I stopped doing it.
The first things people usually notice about me
My favorite books, movies, music, and food
feed me documentaries as well, I like.
internet killed the TV star, so I haven't had a TV since 2001. I can, nonetheless, watch TV in my pc, but... it feels to me like a wasteland of flashy garbage intercalated with a few channels of occasional interesting content. How many times does Youtube alone beat that? I mean, really.
music... too many genres enjoyed. Classic rock, lots of electronic music, loads of Beatles and 70s Pink Floyd, the occasional pop song with the catchy chorus, classical guitar, baroque allegros, funk, middle eastern, metal, south asian, jpop, punk, soul, etc, etc. I don't have a genre, just the one of the most eclectic music collections you might come across.
Can I also add people? David Attenborough, I'd like to reincarnate as that man and live his life.
The six things I could never do without
science/political news
nature
sci-fi
my cats
the ocean in sight
sunshine (really, I'm a cold-blooded animal, brrr)
an occasional desert trip
nudity
a bicycle
