Hi there! I'm Laura. I am very cheerful, loving, and passionate
about life. I love doing artsy, crafty things like drawing,
painting, or anything involving power tools. I enjoy being
outdoors, whether it be hiking in the mountains, gardening, playing
on swings, or stargazing. I also just like curling up at home and
reading or watching movies. I'm an avid tea drinker and
occasionally like to add a touch of whiskey to my cup.
What I’m doing with my life
I work night shifts as a care giver for elderly people with severe
dementia. I also occasionally work for theatres as a stage manager
or on backstage crew. And in my "spare time" I am a volunteer
advocate for a domestic violence center.
I’m really good at
listening to others. I am very caring and intuitive.
I am also really good at getting lost, but I like think of these experiences as mini adventures.

My favorite books, movies, music, and food
I read a lot. Favorite authors include Alice Walker, Dorothy
Allison, Chuck Palahniuk, Shel Silverstein, Emily Dickinson.
Favorite books include The Elegance of the Hedgehog, The Red Tent,
The Giving Tree, Hope for the Flowers, Bastard out of Carolina, The
Color Purple, Wicked, Grimm's Fairy Tales.
As far as movies go, I like independent films, documentaries, psychological thrillers, pixar films.
Of course, I can not live without music. I enjoy a wide variety. Some of my favorite artists, in no particular order, are Ani Difranco, Indigo Girls, Dresden Dolls, The Decemberists, Snow Patrol, Badly Drawn Boy, Linkin Park, Evanescence, Gogol Bordello, Flogging Molly, Queen, The Beatles, Bob Marley, and Broadway Musicals.

The six things I could never do without
All I need is love.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
anything and everything. I am very open-minded. I love discussing
philosophies, politics, and ways to change the world. And I like
thinking about tattoo designs that I will eventually (when I have
money) collage on my back.
