caustic, gregarious, and unabridged
My self-summary Propose an edit
Well, let's see if we can work within the parameters of this damned
site and still avoid the worst cliches, eh?
I'm really definitely a geeky.dorky.nerdy.arty somethingorother.
Geekiness is something I have to air out regularly, like dirty
laundry, and I'm sure I can surprise you with how bad it gets. In
my time on this earth I have been called by the title "Dungeon Master"
more than once. Oh, I also love to have comics. All of my tattoos are, and all of
them will be comic panels, forever an' ever.
I promise I can still be cool and a nerd. The sarcasm and scathing
humor helps.
If I meet you, I'll probably be pretty into you, as long as you are
first. Get it? Generally, who people are is usually pretty awesome
as long as they're honest and open with themselves. I try to treat
every new person I meet like an old friend I already trust. Call me
an optimist.
What I'm doing with my life Propose an edit
Trying to get a handle on my art again. And cleaning the house.
I'm really good at Propose an edit
Expostulating. Being clunky. Contradicting myself. Pulling great
analogies out of a hat.
The first thing(s) people usually notice about me Propose an edit
That I'm a loud sarcastic jerkface that you can't help but love.
Mostly because I'll make you laugh at the same time you're getting
offended.
My favorite books, movies, music, and food Propose an edit
I am hopelessly in love with literature and comics , which are sometimes the same
thing. If you don't know how cool comics are yet, I have a world to
open up for you.
Comics like 100
Bullets, The Walking Dead, Little
Nemo in Slumberland, Sandman, Watchmen, Kingdom Come, Sin City, Flight, Hellboy, Dogs And Water, Preacher, From Hell, Tank Girl, Popbot, Mourning Star, and, and and... a
lot.
Books and films get a brief, elite list, in case of cool searches.
Books: American
Gods, Broca's Brain, The Satanic Verses,
My Name
Is Asher Lev, The Last Unicorn. Films:
Children of
Men, Titus,
Time Bandits.
Lately, pretty much anything Terry Gilliam!
Music can be *almost* anything. Sound is something I enjoy
surrounding myself with. I have almost 1500 hours of sound on the
computer, so I figure that must translate into variety.
Food is tricky.
The six things I could never do without Propose an edit
A sketchbook
and pen. A whiny
friend to get me outside once in a while. Crazy people in the subway. A
constant flow of pirated mp3s. A season once a year
with cold,
crisp air. Oh, and my teeth. Need those.
I spend a lot of time thinking about Propose an edit
Why we can't just slow the Earth's rotation to a 28-hour day,
because man I could use those extra hours.
On a typical Friday night I am Propose an edit
Preparing my assault on the Reds within foreign lands.
The most private thing I'm willing to admit here Propose an edit
The moment that scares me most is right after the laughter dies in
a room. OMG SERIOUS
You should message me if Propose an edit
You're smart and cute. Oh, and geeky is good. I don't know, man,
I'm not gonna tell you who to be. Just give it a stir.
