My self-summary
Well then...

Uhm... So... My name is Mike. I find self-summaries difficult to write, because other than during job interviews, it's hard for me to be all self... gushy. I'll put it this way, I very rarely find people who dislike me. I'm just a nice guy, and not like... super weird Flanders nice, but I'm funny (apparently) and fun to be around (apparently).

And despite what my profile says, I don't actually dislike cats, I'm just pretty allergic. I actually love cats, which makes it all that much more tragic.
What I’m doing with my life
I'm currently working as a salesman for Vonage. It's a "living", well not really since I am living at home. I figure if I have a major negative, that would be it. Don't worry, I'm not a bum, I've just had some bad luck with jobs and layoffs... and well who hasn't in the last few years? And when I'm not working full time I take classes, and maybe someday will eventually get a degree in something like computer networking or banking other fun things like that.
I’m really good at
I'm good at making people laugh. I'm also good at just being optimistic, even in the face of some pretty adverse stuff. I'm always on the side of "well, it can only get better at this point". And a lot of people think I'm patient to a fault, sometimes remaining calm even when I should be exploding... or something.

I can also kick your butt at trivia, and probably other board games too. And not just Monopoly, but weird German board games too. I love video games like any red blooded American, but whether I am good is up for debate. Though, I do love me some Rock band (3). Mostly for the karaoke aspect...
The first things people usually notice about me
I'm pretty quiet at first, and generally stay that way until I'm spoken to. I just assume if someone wants me to talk, they'll talk to me? Or I'm shy, which is really the honest truth. However, once I open up, I can talk forever, so feel free to tell me to shut up.

Maybe you'll think I look cuddly? I've heard I have the qualities of a teddy bear. I imagine that's a good thing. Unless you're allergic to teddy bears, in which case you may not want to message me. (I know, that whole paragraph is stupid)
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Favorite Movies: Serenity, Star Wars, Evil Dead, Halloween, Seven, Dark Knight, Brick, Moon, Dawn of the Dead, Inglorious Basterds, Kill Bill, Scott Pilgrim vs. The World, Shawn of the Dead, Hot Fuzz, Sin City, Anything by Hitchcock, Anything by Mel Brooks, Dogma, and I could go on and on, but I'm just looking at my DVD shelf.

Favorite Music:
Top 5:
1. Project 86
2. Chevelle
3. Muse
4. Blindside
5. Five Iron Frenzy

I don't care about music so much, but at the same time I couldn't live without it. The only thing I'm not crazy about is country, pop, and most rap.

Favorite Shows: Doctor Who, Torchwood, Game of Thrones, Venture Brothers, Dexter, Mad Men, Breaking Bad, Community, Modern Family, Archer, Cowboy Bebop, Firefly, Big Bang Theory, Ghost Adventures, Walking Dead, How I Met Your Mother, Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Angel, and whatever else is on the DVR/Hulu.

Favorite Books: Star Wars. Seriously though, mostly sci-fi and horror. World War Z is a favorite. Do comics count? I really love Grant Morrison's Batman and Walking Dead.

Favorite Food: I love me some Chicken. I just discovered Sushi, which is AMAZING. I love trying new things... unless it's got onions. It's not the flavor, it's the texture. Yuck.
The six things I could never do without
My Faith - I have a unique take on Christianity. I'm not so much focused on dogma and religion as much as just following the teachings of Christ.

The Internet - It is my source of power. Someday I will conquer the world using it.

My Phone - Seriously, it's kind of sad. It's replaced my ipod, the poor thing.

Glasses - I enjoy being able to see. I'm like Velma from Scooby Doo without my glasses.

Star Wars - I kriffin love Star Wars. (Okay, maybe I'm over emphasizing this one... I could live without it. I'm just running out of necessities)

Soap - You need an explanation?
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Trying to better myself and my life. Either that or about all the amazing ideas that I will forget before I remember to write down.
On a typical Friday night I am
Hopefully hanging out with friends, and if not, then I'm working.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I check to see if I've had any "visitors" on here WAY too often.
I’m looking for
  • Girls who like guys
  • Ages 22–30
  • Near me
  • Who are single
  • For new friends, long-term dating, short-term dating
You should message me if
- You like a nice funny affectionate guy.
- If you can handle someone who's trying to reshuffle his life, after some bad luck.
- If you want to make a new friend. Seriously, I'm not even specifically looking for a relationship. I love making new friends. I've made facebook friends with people on this site! Honest!
- If you've got a little geek blood flowing in you, I've never dated someone with similar hobbies, and I figure it might be nice.
- If you're either Christian, or at least don't mind that my faith is important to me.
- If you like what you read. Like I said, I'm probably too shy to actually message someone, but if you want to message me and start a conversation, then I'll be more than happy to respond. Honest!

Bonus points:
- You can tell me who Damian Waynes mother is.
- You know who wrote the film True Romance.
- You know what a bag of holding is, and have used one.
- You know the name of planet that Chewbacca is from.
