I am firey, dependable, and sweet.
My Self-Summary
I am a moderately quirky second-degree student at WVU. I'm mostly
sweetness and light and all that jazz, but I have a definite edge.
My best characteristic and worst flaw is my sarcastic sense of
humor. I like to be outside, hiking, biking, rollerblading or
walking. I'm not a jock (humorously uncoordinated), but I love
watching football and tennis.
What I’m doing with my life
I have a BS in biology, and now, I'm a fast-tracker in the WVU
School of Nursing, where I will eventually become a certified nurse
midwife, which will be great, as I love babies. My first love was
opera, and I still miss it sometimes, but science pays a bit
better. A bit.
I’m really good at
laughing. I can typically find a little humor in most situations. I
also have a couple truly excellent stupid human tricks, which can
be nice as an icebreaker (I can proudly say that I can lick my
elbow).
The first things people usually notice about me
My dark eyes, and my impressive converse collection. Then, they
notice the coffee stain I perpetually have on my shirt. I swear I
do laundry, but I dump coffee on myself every morning on my way to
work. It's a talent. I've also been told that I always appear to be
up to something. Maybe I am.
My favorite books, movies, music, and food
I have a thing for all things cultural. Stuff has to suck
tremendously for me to hate it (I figure if you can't appreciate it
for being good, you can appreciate it for being awesomely bad). I
definitely have favorites in music (Ben Folds/The Beatles), movies
(The Princess Bride), and books (classics, non-fiction, and
literary junk food alike), but I'll give anything a go.
I thoroughly enjoy food (cooking and eating), but I love Italian
and Asian food most of all, particularly Japanese food. As long as
there is no mayo involved. Mayo is the devil's condiment.
The six things I could never do without
1. Friends, family, pets (a cat and a hamster), etc.
2. Books/Movies/Music.
3. Alcohol swabs (I find them in the most random places).
4. My Boniva pen that I got from a drug rep.
5. Incense
6. Alex Trebec
I spend a lot of time thinking about
where I put my car keys, when I'm going to have time to eat or hit
the gym, and nursing school related things.
On a typical Friday night I am
down town with some close friends enjoying some good beer and
laughing, or at home with a good book or movie, depending on how
bad the week was before. Occasionally, I make a foray out to
visiting my parents, although not as often as I should.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit here
I knocked myself out once. Kneecap straight to the eye.
You should message me if
you are interested in discussing pretty much anything. If I have an
opinion about the subject, I'll share. If I don't, I would love to
be educated.
