My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
"A human being should be able to change a diaper, plan an invasion, butcher a hog, conn a ship, design a building, write a sonnet, balance accounts, build a wall, set a bone, comfort the dying, take orders, give orders, cooperate, act alone, solve equations, analyze a new problem, pitch manure, program a computer, cook a tasty meal, fight efficiently, die gallantly. Specialization is for insects."
-Robert A. Heinlein

I'm really into healthy sustainable living, fitness, and good food. I run at least five miles every morning, and I know food to be the ultimate medicine that almost completely determines your health.

My life is built around a deep belief that it is far more powerful to create something you love than to say no to things we don't want. I am naturally curious about the world, and I intentionally act on that curiosity with great consistency.

I am intellectually fierce and deeply committed to living a truly meaningful life. In relationships, depth is never optional.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
Intentionally living it and learning to really communicate effectively, since the quality of our communication hugely impacts the quality of our lives. Spending a ton of time playing in nature, reading, and martial arts. I'm definitely an information sponge and tend to be full of really fascinating (and sometimes random) knowledge.

Professionally, I've been working for myself since I was fifteen and have a bit of a history of starting nifty projects and companies. I run a sustainable living and leadership school these days.

In many ways my life is very much an experiment in coherency.

Currently thinking about building a tiny house. In my case, thinking tends to lead to doing.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Using my brain to try to understand the world. Lately, I'm learning to truly be happy.

"Happiness is not a goal. It is a by-product." - Eleanor Roosevelt

I am a bookworm and tend to read several books at once. My reading list ranges from Derrick Jensen to Stephen Covey, Starhawk to Rudy Guiliani. Currently reading a book on regenerative economies and another on building trust in organizations.

I tend to spend a lot of time each day assimilating a great number of different news sources, often in several languages. I make it a point to have a strong understanding of current events.

Healthy food tends to get my attention. No, I am seriously not a militant vegan, and I seriously don't care what you eat as long as you are thoughtful about it.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
inspiration, hope, dreams, creativity, good friends, yummy healthy food, good sex.

I do naturally tend to live very simply.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
How the world works; why things are the way that they are; what makes people act in the ways that they do; what makes social progress and political evolution happen; how to build companies; how to learn to interact with others in more peaceful ways.

On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
doing something atypical. No really. I passionately dislike routines, even if I tend to sometimes fall into them.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I'm just a guy trying his best to live with integrity and to make a positive impact on the people and the world. I make no apologies for being authentically human.

The "mostly non-monogamous" in my profile implies that although I have been in various ethical and open relationships for much of my adult life, I am also potentially open to a monogamous dynamic with the right person. Fundamental honesty is what matters to me.

I do not want kids within the near future, but can totally see myself adopting once I am older. I feel that as someone fairly financially stable, there is a certain moral obligation to give back in that way and hugely (hopefully positively) impact a life.

You try to live your life with meaning and intent; or you think you have something to teach or learn; or if you are outdoorsy and want to randomly go camping or biking... or just go travel some place.

I desire and need depth, openness and intensity in my relationships. I tend to appreciate people who are at least as driven, if not more so, than myself. Most importantly I am looking for someone who is kind.
