My self-summary
It seems that my profile suggests to people that I am granola-chewing crunchy feral hippie... which couldn't be farther from the truth. I am just a fairly complex, full-spectrum human being.

"A human being should be able to change a diaper, plan an invasion, butcher a hog, conn a ship, design a building, write a sonnet, balance accounts, build a wall, set a bone, comfort the dying, take orders, give orders, cooperate, act alone, solve equations, analyze a new problem, pitch manure, program a computer, cook a tasty meal, fight efficiently, die gallantly. Specialization is for insects."
-Robert A. Heinlein

I look at the world through the lens of sustainable design + permaculture, and lately find my life very aligned with all sorts of good things -- sustainable living, biking, organic food, and other things that make life a lot more pleasant. I also know that it is far more powerful to create something you love than to protest that which you dislike.

I am naturally curious about the world, and I very intentionally act on that curiosity -- I travel and explore, learning from both the natural environment and other people. The world gives us what we need, if we only are open enough to receive.

I am very intentional, quite athletic, and freaking resourceful. I know myself and I know my power in the world.
What I’m doing with my life
Living it, intentionally, and designing my surroundings for abundance. Learning to communicate honestly, openly and completely.

Professionally, I've been working for myself since I was fifteen and have a bit of a history of starting cool projects and companies. These days I am mostly focused on sustainability education and permaculture.

I develop programs that enable people to step into their power by reconnecting with themselves and the world around them. Without understanding where we come from, we can never have any vision for where we want to go. My programs enable people to change the world by reaching their highest potential as human beings.

Also spending a ton of time playing in nature... and rolling around on aikido mats.
I’m really good at
Using my brain to try to understand the world. Lately, I'm learning to truly be happy.

"Happiness is not a goal. It is a by-product." - Eleanor Roosevelt
The first things people usually notice about me
Depends on the day. I can be insanely random and scatter-brained at times, which is actually quite ironic given the insane level of intensive focus that I am able to easily bring to my life's path.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
I am a bookworm and tend to read several books at once. My reading list ranges from Derrick Jensen to Stephen Covey, Starhawk to Rudy Guiliani. Currently reading a book on regenerative economies and another on building trust in organizations.

I tend to spend a lot of time each day assimilating a great number of different news sources, often in several languages. I make it a point to have a strong understanding of current events.

Healthy, organic, vegan, soy+wheat-free food tends to get my attention!
The six things I could never do without
inspiration, hope, dreams, creativity, good friends... and oh... yummy organic + healthy food.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
How the world works; why things are the way that they are; what makes people act in the ways that they do; what makes social progress and political evolution happen; how to build companies; how to learn to interact with others in more peaceful ways.

On a typical Friday night I am
doing something atypical. No really. I passionately dislike routines, even if I tend to sometimes fall into them.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I'm just a guy trying his best to live with integrity and to make a positive impact on the people and the world. I make no apologies for being authentically human.
I’m looking for
  • Girls who like guys
  • Ages 21–42
  • Near me
  • For new friends, long-term dating, short-term dating, activity partners
You should message me if
You try to live your life with meaning and intent; or you think you have something to teach or learn; or if you are outdoorsy and want to randomly go camping or biking... or just go travel some place.

I desire and need depth, openness and intensity in my relationships. Relationships come in all forms, and I am seeking something that just really works.

I am looking for someone who can keep up with me; I really want to be around people who are at least as driven, if not more so, than myself. It seems a lot of people are content with just taking up space in the world without making anything of their lives; that's a real waste of human potential.
