I am tenacious, dutiful, and hopeless.
My Self-Summary
Self summary? What's it to ya? Who wants to know?? Now see here, I
don't like nobody giving me the third degree, see, 'specially not
some lousy stinkin' machine! Nyah!
Sorry. I amuse myself because... well... honestly you can't always
depend on others to do it for you. I guess I'm mostly looking for
someone special to help out with that.
And that was a lie, about the third degree and all. I'll answer
pretty much any question put before me. Except the ones I skipped
in the list.
Oh and I absolutely HATE having to describe myself through multiple
choice questions. Whoever came up with that bit of brilliance was a
complete idiot. It's the 21st century, communication has advanced
to a level unrivaled in recorded history, and here we are trying to
learn about each other by reading a list of multiple choice derived
descriptors? It's really fairly insulting. Why does it have to
always be A, B, C, or D? Why can't it be "green?"
What I’m doing with my life
I work in the field of parcel delivery, and in my spare time I help
run our local
disc
golf club, putting on charity events, tournaments, and,
seasonally, our summer league.
I’m really good at
I'm really good at listening to people's problems. I may not always
find an answer or helpful bit of advice, but more often than not,
all people want is someone to just listen anyway. I have a gift for
picking up other people's emotional states, which can be kind of
inconvenient, because it often has an effect on me like throwing a
pebble into a calm pool. Ripples. I'm good at a lot of things, even
a bunch of things I don't particularly care for. Like Poker - I'm
really good at poker, but I hate the game, if you can imagine that.
The first things people usually notice about me
I walk on the balls of my feet. I dunno if that's the "first" thing
that people notice, but I do get comments. Actually the first thing
is probably my hair - I have a LOT of it, shoved up into a topknot
most of the time. It's quite a bit longer than the picture I have
on here.
My favorite books, movies, music, and food
Books: Tolkien's the Silmarillion, Bradbury's Fahrenheit 451,
Musashi's Book of Five Rings(
Go Rin No Sho),
the Art of War anything by
Raymond Feist.
Movies:
Hayao
Miyazaki's animated films,
John Carpenter's films,
especially the Thing,
Hitchcock's films
Food: Japanese, Chinese, Italian, German, Mexican. I love cooking
in the wok and making my own
Sushi.
The six things I could never do without
1)
pepsi - I get
awful headaches after a while without
2)books
3)companionship
4)a knife - I know the one day I don't have one on me will be the
day I need to cut through a seatbelt or some such
5)play
6)colour
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Life, the
universe and everything.
Multiples of 3
Angle of deflection
gyroscopic precession....
The nature of things.
Humanity's tendency to forget, then repeat the past.
mechanical advantage
why people smoke, when all it did for me was make me cough and
leave a bad taste in my mouth
On a typical Friday night I am
Sitting around with friends and family, enjoying priceless company.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit here
When nobody is looking, I shadow box. You know how some people sing
to themselves when nobody is around? Well I do that too actually...
Not at the same time though. Never at the same time. One or the
other. :|
You should message me if
You have something to say or ask. If I messaged you first. If you
can come up with something more than "Hi" for the body. If you
think there's something worth investigating.
