My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
I've lived in San Francisco for seven years and moved here from Austin. I spent most of my childhood moving from city to city and feel fortunate to have landed in the epicenter of mimosa brunches, pet festivals, and artisan coffee.

I'm inquisitive and love late nights laughing with friends and getting to the bottom of how things work or why they sometimes don't. I'm an introvert at heart and can be drained by heavy doses of extroversion, but in general I thrive on engaging conversations and enjoy meeting new people from different social circles.

In my free time I make music, take DIY classes, hike, bike, and snap photos of the dogs in my neighborhood. I spend a lot of time thinking about leadership, business opportunities, and all the pets I want to adopt, but nothing gets me more excited than learning about people's passions and the different kinds of impact they hope to make.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
I recently started a new job as an Engineering Manager at a medium sized startup and before that I was in a similar role at a large technology company. My career is fairly important to me and I'm pretty passionate about working in an environment that is fun, challenging, and presents opportunities to make positive change in the world. I also make time for experiencing more of the world by traveling and occasionally hosting couchsurfers. I'm hopeful that I'll be able to live abroad in the next few years, but the short term plan is to travel often and live out the rest of my twenties in the Bay Area.

When I'm not working, you can find me fiddling with an instrument, at a local dive with friends, playing pool with strangers, hiking in the north bay, or staying in with my cats and catching up on a show or movie. I've recently started to favor podcasts over reading, though I do love getting sucked into non-fiction and learning more about technology, economics, politics, and psychology.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Distilling complex concepts into easily digestible nuggets of information, reading text from far away, 90s trivia, meeting people on the airplane and listening to their life story, sweeping arpeggios, starting dance parties, being punctual, and learning songs by ear.

The highlight of my sophomore year of college was starting a Saved By the Bell fan club with friends and raising money to have Dennis Haskins aka Mr Belding speak on campus. We raised just shy of 10K in what was arguably the best misappropriation of school funds by a student organization that year.
