My self-summary
I don't believe people have fixed identities, so depending on the context, I am:

Confident and humble.
Refined and savage.
Spontaneous and deliberate.
An explorer and a homebody.
Silly and serious.
Skeptical and open-minded.
Weird and normal.
Always curious, perceptive, and most of the time laughing.

I'm extremely easygoing and I can get along with anyone, the same goes for my family and friends who I'm very close with. I'm always down to meet new and interesting people that can teach me something new and broaden my scope on life.
What I’m doing with my life
I’m a freelance director and designer.

When not in rehearsal, I might enjoy a museum, observe an animal exhibiting unusual behavior, play competitive mulleting (go ahead, ask me what it is, dare ya), read old books, watch a marathon of terrible yet amazing movies, and embrace my inner child in search of the gnome in central park.
I’m really good at
Pushing boundaries.
Avoiding going the same way twice.
Making people laugh at inappropriate times.
Sleeping in.
Hyperbole. For effect. And by really good I mean the best.
Embracing my life-soundtrack.
Spirit fingers.
Feigning modesty.
Taking risks and learning from them.
The first things people usually notice about me
I was told one time by a homeless woman at McDonald’s while waiting in line for the restroom that I radiate the sunshine of a thousand smiles. So. Yeah.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Books:
Currently reading: Bossypants by Tina Fey and trying to make sense of Finnegan's Wake.

Favorite Book(s): Harry Potter.
I'll never get over Harry Potter. (Gryfferin for those curious, Gryffindor for the one person who couldn't handle the hybridization.)

I really never got into those "change your life classics" they force you to read in school. Perhaps I should revisit them on my own terms. Feel free to suggest one to me. ;)

When I was younger, I was obsessed with Dr. Seuss (still am), The Box Car Children, Goosebumps (except for Slappy - that shit scars you for life), and this ghost story called Time for Andrew (major points if you've read it.)

Movies:
Movies are a huge part of my life. Directors who I admire: Burton, Taymor, Luhrmann.

I grew up on Disney and know that I now do musicals because of the countless hours spent watching them.

Nightmare Before Christmas is my #1. The Muppet Movie changed my life. Pitch Perfect was obviously written for me. I wish I made Moulin Rouge. Mean Girls will always brighten my day. The Final Destination movies are truly a guilty pleasure.
The end of Big Fish gets me every time.

I've never seen Titanic...(GASP!)

Shows (the theatre nerd in me had to think twice about what I supposed to write):

I have a really wide range of TV I watch, however my favorites tend to be comedies. I am in love with Here Comes Honey Boo Boo. Recently, I've found myself on Bravo a lot...figures. The Simpsons is my all-time favorite. Big fan of Will and Grace, 30 Rock, Ugly Betty, Fraiser, and Drop Dead Diva (if you haven't seen it, go check it out! Basically, I am Deb/Jane...Jane/Deb...w/e). I got really excited when Nickelodeon brought the 90s back.

Music:
I love 80s Dance/Power Ballads. Take on Me (A-ha), You Spin Me Right Round (Dead or Alive), New Attitude (Patti LaBelle) are some consistent spotify plays. Queen is stunning. (I actually enjoy being rick-rolled.)

90s pop is just...special. Spice Girls, Britney, N'ync, Backstreet Boys...just yes.

Musicals - goes without saying.

Ke$ha's new album Warrior is unreal. Adele can set fire to the rain. Bad Romance makes me go gaga. Beyonce. Fierce beltresses = winning.

Food:
My mother has ruined me with her Italian cooking. I love food with complexities of texture and layers of flavor - BBQ, Indian, Sushi. I have a major sweet tooth and go nuts for Haribo, Tootsie Pops, and Fun Dip.
The six things I could never do without
Imagination
My dog, Mia
Diet Coke
Ice Cream
Thunderstorms
Humour
I spend a lot of time thinking about
...what will be my Space Jam?...
On a typical Friday night I am
Miscellaneous mischief with my mates typically followed by netflixing.
