My self-summary
I'm a dyed-in-the-wool existentialist, a cheerful realist, an empiricist in the kitchen, and a firm believer in the idea that chaos, entropy and love are the only guiding principles of the universe. I'm not the kind of woman you buy flowers for...I don't really know what to do with them, as I prefer useful things. (Herbs are useful.)

I'm about equal parts Spock and Lambchop.

I walk FAST, sometimes barefoot.
I am interested in almost everything, and like to talk about it. Keep up.

Buildings feel like cages sometimes, and I need the outdoors like I need air. Aimless walks around cities, long hikes, eating at hole-in-the-wall restaurants, visiting museums, seeing plays, sampling farmers' markets and popping into little grungy, dimly-lit shops just to see what they sell, making beauty (edible and non-edible) with my hands...I want to share with you.

I find skulls and skeletons beautiful. I read WAY too much, listen to often painfully obscure music and try not to overthink things. Sometimes life really is that simple.
What I’m doing with my life
I cook to live, and live to make and break things with my bare hands. I am also addicted to learning new things.

I like to get my hands dirty. You'll likely find me disassembling, dyeing or painting something over the course of any given week.

I also work with leather.
I’m really good at
Wiggling my ears, and other stupid human tricks.
Singing.
Cooking.
Not getting lost.
Packing car trunks, boxes, etc. with very little leftover space. Spelling/grammar.
The first things people usually notice about me
The two pounds of hair on my head. My smile.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
I'm an omnivore. Musically. Culinarily (Is that a word? I don't really care, hahaha). I confess to being a bit of a tea snob and have a thing for craft beer, but refuse to entertain the notion that any musical genre is worthless -- goodness is all around us if we are willing to seek it out. Bad beer, though? Inexcusable.

I'm not a fan of chick flicks. Please, no. Drug me heavily first if you must, so I won't remember much afterwards. I mostly gravitate towards [pretentious?] art-house movies and really odd films...blame my art-school background. I HEART animation, and have been known to marathon Looney Tunes, Animaniacs, and various anime series from time to time.

Also: I like readers. If you're a voracious reader, or were at one point, we'll get along. Hard sci-fi, Russian absurdism, dystopian lit, coming-of-age tales, programming guides, cookbooks, graphic novels/comics, books about music or film, books relating to current interests: these excite me. Cereal boxes, newspapers lying about, and license plates if I'm bored.
The six things I could never do without
I've led a fairly lean existence for a while now, so things I thought I couldn't live without? Guess what, I can.
Friends, libraries, cuddles and occasional silence are non-negotiable, however. (I'm aware that's only four.)
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Work-life balance, and finding a good one for myself.
The 'True Will'.
On a typical Friday night I am
Recuperating from work, haha.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
Get to know me. Then I'll tell you anything you'd like to know.

Major brownie points if you're a serious film scholar (amateur or otherwise), into Halloween/the macabre/grotesque, a lover of science, or some combination of the three.
