My self-summary
This sums me up pretty well, the devil is in the details...
What I’m doing with my life
I'm currently a tech support CSR for Apple iOS.
I’m really good at
Coming up with really overly complicated ideas, and bullshitting. I WAS a Poli Sci major after all. I once wrote a position paper for a political philosophy class that argued Thomas Aquinas would be in favor of abortion- using supporting passages from his Suma Theologica. I got an A- even though the prof said my arguments were against everything Aquinas and Christianity stood for.
The first things people usually notice about me
Unfortunately, my height... after that my red beard. People tell me I'm a ginger, but I don't see it. I guess atheists don't need souls anyway, so meh.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
I read science fiction and fantasy almost exclusively. MY favorite authors include John Varley, Vernor Vinge, Peter F. Hamilton, Ben Bova, Robert A. Heinlein, Jim Butcher, Charles Stross, Kelley Armstrong, David Brin, Jack Vance, John Ringo, and lots and lots more. I like military SF and space opera quite a bit, and Kelley Armstrong's books are my guilty pleasure. I used to read lots of Star Wars and Marvel novels, but I don't read much franchised stuff anymore.

I like tons of movies, I can't even name or count them all! Seeing movies is one of my absolute favorite things to do, ever. I especially love going to the theater for a midnight release. (Some of) My favorite media franchises are Marvel, Star Wars, the new BSG, Firefly, Trailer Park Boys, Anchorman (etc.), Pineapple Express, Kevin Smith, Cowboy Bebop, Gundam and lots of other stuff that I don't feel like listing...

Music isn't as important to me as most other things. I don't have great hearing for tones, and I really just don't get into it like most people seem too... the tastes I do have in music seem to be strange to most people anyway lol, I tend to like rock, a little pop, and lots of nerdcore like mc chris and MC Lars. My favorite band is Clutch though, its something I can wrap my limited ability to appreciate music around lol.

I have a strange relationship with food... I'm allergic to milk and peanuts, so there are entire cuisines of food that I can't eat. I have no clue what cheese tastes like, no kidding. So I'm a pain in the ass to eat with. Given that, I'm pretty open minded when it won't kill me, and will try just about anything once or twice. My favorite cuisine is Japanese, mostly because not only is it delicious, I can eat almost all of it. Since my family is Sephardic Jewish, I grew up eating kosher Mediterranean food as comfort food.

I feel like they should add games to the title of this box... anyway, I like to play RPGs- usually only western titles though like Elder Scrolls, Fallout, Diablo II... I like tons of other games too, and usually have a MMO that I spend time in, but my computer sucks and WoW died with Deathwing. I also like to play table top and pen and paper games whenever I can find anyone who's interested. I really like DnD and still have magic cards, if anyone cares to play.
The six things I could never do without
Lets see... Being without my cell phone or the internet in general makes me feel less human... so that, for one. Two, Danzig, my Pembroke Corgi... he's pre awesome (and obnoxious).... ADD...
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Lots and lots of things... lately though, my future and THE future. My personal paradaigm has shifted dramatically lately, so my own path is a lot less certain than it used to be. I kinda feel like the world at large is getting ready to go through something similar, its hard to tell what the world is going to look like in 20 years, but I'm looking forward to finding out.
On a typical Friday night I am
Sometimes I go out with friends or go out on dates, sometimes I stay in and hang out with my roommates in my underground nerd lair. I used to play tons of World of Warcraft, but it got super lame lately, so I don't play it anymore. Now I play Eve and Path of Exile- in the same way that one plays Peggle whilst waiting for a raid.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I'm pretty much an open book, I don't keep a lot private by nature. I had mentioned that I'm Polyamorous, but I seem not to have it any further up the page anymore... Sooo yeah, I grew up reading a lot of Heinlein and Varley in a Libertarian household... go figure.
I’m looking for
  • Girls who like guys
  • Ages 24–31
  • Near me
  • For new friends, long-term dating, short-term dating
You should message me if
You like what I have to say and feel compelled to do so, of course! I love talking to anyone who'll talk to me about being poly or talk nerdy with me! I also love making friends of all persuasions, so feel free to send me a message!
