My name is
Kait.
I have eyes like paperclips and a coffee pot soul.
I attend the University of New Orleans. My major is film, theatre,
and communication arts. Currently, I am focusing on film. I plan to
go as far into my education as possible. I hope to get a masters in
creative writing, and eventually a Ph.D.
I am barefoot as much as possible. I often feel nostalgic, but I am
working on that. Sunlight makes me feel euphoric. Matthew Lillard
was wrong when he said you couldn't live your life through
lyrics.
I enjoy the small things in life. I like local coffee shops and
hookah bars. I like wearing vests. I roll the windows down
frequently so I can feel the air on my face. I can always go for a
pina colada icee. I have cuddling parties with my best
friends.
I never thought Dane Cook was very funny. I tend to avoid going to
the DMV as much as possible. I hate earbud headphones. I prefer
buying individual CDs to using an MP3 player. I wish I had a record
player with an endless amount of vinyl.
I would rather swim in a pool full of jello than a pool full of
noodles.
One day I want to follow one of my favorite bands on tour.
Listen to "Kate" by Ben Folds if you wish to know more.
Collecting cover art, quoting Bukowski's poetry, journaling and
scrapbooking, analyizing of screenplays and literature, burning
mixed CDs, getting paint all over my clothes, sleeping, method
acting.
Books
I couldn't possibly list all the literature that has been
influential throughout my life. Some of my favorite
authors
include: Russell Banks, William Borroughs, Ray Bradbury,
Charles
Bukowski, Allen Ginsberg, Ernest Hemingway, Chuck Palahniuk,
Edgar Allen Poe, Anne Rice, J.D. Salinger, David Sedaris, John
Steinbeck, Hunter S. Thompson, Kurt Vonnegut. Maybe I'll get to
titles one day.

Because the world is round, it turns me on.
Because the wind is high, it blows my mind.
Because the sky is blue, it makes me cry.
You think Captain Murphy is just goddamn hilarious.
