My Self-Summary

I think the three things that have been constants in my life since I can remember have been sports, music, and food. I've pretty much played soccer and tennis since I came out of the womb, and I've dabbled in almost all other sports since. Needless to say, sports and fitness are a big deal to me. I've been jamming some kind of music since I can remember. My Dad was a pretty big music nut, and that rubbed off on me growing up. He used to play records of everything from the Beach Boys to Johnny Cash. I kind of got exposed to it all. Ever since I was a kid my Mom made sure I helped out in the kitchen. Mostly dishes. But, it rubbed off and I'm a pretty badass cook now.

I've done a lot of living in my few years around this earth. I've seen the sunrise in more countries than I have states. I've jumped out of planes in foreign countries, survived a 'chute not opening and laughed about it, slept under the stars in more than one desert, been toasted by strangers in a language I don't understand (it was probably something like "F you dirty American pig" in reality), dodged bullets and joked about it 5 minutes later, been in more awkward situations than I care to remember, but I'm just scratching the surface. I've got a better story than most people twice my age.

I'm educated, but I don't believe the only kind of education that counts is the one you get from school. You can be the most book smart person in the world, and still be a blithering retard. I'm fluent in sarcasm, but I don't (usually) use it to tear people down. I pretty much like all music, there's not much I don't like at least a little bit of. I like life experiences that stay with you a lifetime. Open-mindedness and intellectual curiosity are important to me. I try to see the other side of an argument even if I'm certain I won't agree with it. Smoking is a deal-breaker. That's just nasty, unless you just love dying, and smelling like crap.

I really like meeting nice, genuine people that are up for anything. If you're a glass-half-empty type, close-minded, not fun, or just a not great person in general, please don't waste my time. Ya kind of bring me down.

What I’m doing with my life

Besides that school thing, trying to figure it all out, and putting off training for my first tri.

I’m really good at

Giving great advice, and never taking it. Sarcasm.

The first things people usually notice about me

Tattoos? I really have no idea.

My favorite books, movies, music, and food

Books: anything inspiring, Kierkegaard, Nietzsche, Vonnegut, Tolkien, etc.

Movies: good comedies, heist, sci-fi, anything that's not bad.

Music: I pretty much listen to it all - indie, metal, punk, pop, hip-hop, etc. etc. etc.

Food: I pretty much eat it all, but I think Tex-Mex ranks numero uno.

The six things I could never do without

Lame.

I spend a lot of time thinking about

The future, why these anatomy labs are soooooooo insanely long, my new bike.

On a typical Friday night I am

Out.

The most private thing I’m willing to admit here

I sing in the shower?

You should message me if

You're not a jerk.
