My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
Things that I am: ridiculous, smart, a dog-lover, goofy.

Things I am not: a man, an astronaut, a scuba diver.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
I'm currently working on a second bachelor's degree in biomedical engineering and neuroscience. My first degree is from NYU and is for theatre. Short story, I decided acting wasn't the career for me- still love it, but my true calling is research. I aim to do research in degenerative brain diseases and how neural prosthetics can help slow things down. Cool stuff. Downside- I'm in classes with a bunch of kids who still aren't old enough to drink. Upside- I'm learning the coolest freaking stuff. To pay the bills, I teach SAT/ACT prep classes.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
-reading and writing (I'm always the one friend that gets called on to edit essays)

-acting like a total idiot in public (theatre school definitely beats the shame right out of you)

-working sci fi references into everyday conversation (definitely labeled a geometric figure as A' and told my kids to think of Spock and Spock Prime. Sadly, no one knew what I was talking about)
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
The ever present towel. That and my ridiculously awesome assortment of earrings (including, but not limited to, weiner dogs in hot dog buns, a mouse and piece of cheese, and multiple TARDIS earrings).
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food

The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
-My doggies! I have three, and they're awesome!
-Showtunes
-Actual paper books. E-readers are NOT the same.
-My friends/family. Yep, I'd like a little wine with that cheese. Speaking of...
-Cheese
-The Internet (which might or might not feed my fanfiction addiction. Faddiction?)

My towel. Which doesn't count as one of the six because it goes without saying that I'm a hoopy frood who always knows where my towel is.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
what makes people do what they do. I've always been fascinated by internal motivations.

Also, this new quickmatch thing. Why bother rating people out of 5 stars if the ultimate result is a binary yes or no?
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
home with my dogs, watching a movie, and possibly dancing around belting out Broadway songs.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I ran into a window hard enough to shatter it. With my eyes closed. Because I thought I could get to Narnia

Dammit Jim, I'm a doctor, not a psychic. Put down the damn tribble and come say hi already!
