A former English major, I am new to the Charlotte area, and am looking to meet a great guy. At this point in my life, I am ready to engage in a long term relationship with a like-minded man. I would also enjoy making a few new friends in the area. Attending the seasonal festivals and outings (Renaissance Festival in Huntersville is a blast), playing trivia at a local haunt, gaming once a week, hanging with friends, and hoping to find the one missing piece of life's puzzle; a good guy.

Making people laugh, telling stories, listening to others, giving good advice, and managing money. I am NOT good at cooking, sewing, or pretty much anything involving athletic ability.

I have big brown eyes and freckles. As far as my personality, people quickly notice that I am sociable and love to laugh at myself.

I love the book "Flowers for Algernon" by Daniel Keyes. I liked the Lord of the Rings trilogy, both the books and films. I am a film buff, owning diverse titles such as Ferris Bueller's Day Off, Clue, Princess Bride, Silence of the Lambs, Ghost, Willow, Braveheart, Clash of the Titans, Lethal Weapon, Terminator, and Pretty Woman. Musically, I go for white British pop and rock; ie, Led Zeppelin, Peter Gabriel, Sting, The Police, Depeche Mode, Duran Duran, Phil Collins, New Order, The Smiths, etc. I loved Jeff Buckley, and most 80's music. I also like American classic rock like Springsteen, Henley, Glenn Frey, The Eagles, The Who and Tom Petty, and I like Canadians...Rush and Bryan Adams.
Food: I am thin but love to eat; Italian hoagies, stromboli, cheeseburgers, bacon, chef salads, seafood, pasta, cheesecake, Thai food, Indian food, Mexican food.

Dental floss, my cell phone, ITunes, my friends, my family, and a good attitude.

Where I'd like to travel next, where I want to be in 5 years, and all of the things I am grateful to have. I think about my friends, and my old hometown in PA. I think about adventures I have not had yet here in the South.

Hanging out with new friends, sightseeing in my new city of Charlotte. I am building a social circle here, but if it's an off night, I'll be watching VH1 Classic, reading, watching a movie, or gaming on my PC.

I moved to Charlotte about six months ago, and it was the scariest, most daring thing I have ever done.
