My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
Multi-pierced, spiky-haired goth girl...

Avid reader, sometime writer. Animal lover - cats, ferrets, rats and snakes share my home. Multiple piercings. Caffeine addict. Happiest when hair is violet. Favorite music: Jeff Buckley, Bush, Deftones, Depeche Mode, The Divine Comedy, Foo Fighters, Garbage, HIM, NIN, Placebo, the Yeah Yeah Yeahs, the Dresden Dolls and others. Favourite authors include: AM Homes, Haruki Murakami, Douglas Coupland, Christopher Fowler, Poppy Z Brite, Jasper Fforde, Stephen Fry, Richard Morgan, Jeff Noon, Laurell K. Hamilton, Jonathan Maberry. Looking to meet like-minded people.

I am articulate, candid, and resourceful.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
Office drone by day, superhero by night ;)

I seem to spend a disproportionate amount of time commuting, slowly reading through the contents of Cardiff's Central Library. Feel free to recommend a book or two - you can find me on Goodreads.

I don't have grand ambitions. I'd love to make a living though writing... Eventually, I'd like to have a little cottage somewhere in the country - with rescued battery hens. And some old, wonky rescue dogs. For now, I'll settle for having enough cash to keep me in cat food, coffee and paperback novels.

My heroes are: Stephen Fry. Eddie Izzard. Dawn French. Charlie Higson. Kevin Smith. Bernard Black. Dr. Gregory House. Harry Dresden. Anyone who does a job that they enjoy. And anyone who can start to write a novel and go on to finish it. :)
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Sleeping. Writing meandering e-mails. Having pointless debates. Taming savage wee beasties. Washing up. Taking epic baths. Talking to random people on trains and in long queues. Sending texts whilst walking along. Dancing the goth two-step in impossibly high buckled boots. Missing trains. Baking muffins. Hugs. Sleeping in spoons.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
My facial piercings. My long black coat - my security blanket. My ambiguous gender - given that I tend to have particularly short hair and am usually wearing a long sleeved top, trousers and vegetarian Doc Martens.

Dressing up usually involves big boots with buckles, a fair amount of eyeliner, and an outfit involving some kind of tactile material; velvet or PVC. For a less dressed up night out, you'll probably find me wearing baggy combats and a band t-shirt.

Robb, Scarlett Thomas. There are probably others...

I have recently started reading lots of crime novels - Boris Akunin, Mark Billingham, Sue Grafton, Reginald Hill, C. J. Sansom, Kathy Reichs, Karin Slaughter, Frank Tallis. Suggestions for further reading welcome :)

TV: ER, Lost, Bones, Frasier, Becker, Futurama, Red Dwarf, The League of Gentlemen, Life on Mars, Peep Show, Vic Reeves' Big Night Out, The Mighty Boosh, Green Wing, Scrubs, Black Books, Spaced, The IT Crowd, The Big Bang Theory, Futurama, Firefly, House M.D., Six Feet Under, Dexter, Torchwood, Eureka, Warehouse 13 ...Desperate Housewives, Ugly Betty and Holby City are my dirty TV secrets ;) Grey's Anatomy may well become another :) I am a sucker for random documentaries about wild animals or strange medical conditions.

Food: Anything vegetarian. Preferably cooked by someone else... Although I cook more than I used to. You should try my mushroom stroganoff :)
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
Plots to fake my own death, escape the office, and start again somewhere well populated and anonymous... ;)

I can be reserved until I get to know someone well, but I am open-minded, honest and loyal. The best way to get to know me is to talk to me - I do love a good debate, on pretty much any subject.

Many moons ago, I frequented alt.music.placebo and alt.games.creatures :) Nowadays, I lurk on many forums - so I may be pondering any topic which comes up on there: Fancy Rats, Dogpages, Mercia Ferret Welfare, Livefoods, Matazone, Bondage.com.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Cleaning my house and catching up with my animal chores, then spending the rest of the evening on the sofa with coffee, cats and a book or a DVD, so that I can do more interesting things with the remainder of my weekend.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I have been heckled in the street for looking like Kelly Osbourne. A couple of months later, I was heckled for looking like Jack Osbourne ;)
You should message me if
Offer a few tips to help matches win you over.
If we sound to have similar interests and you fancy a chat, do drop me a line :)

If I have viewed your profile, but haven't messaged you yet, drop me a line if you think that we might get on - I am probably sitting here trying to think of an intelligent way to strike up a conversation ;)

I visit the cinema more than most people. If you're in Cardiff and need a cinema companion, drop me a line...

When shouldn't you message me? Well, I can't abide people who are racist or homophobic on any level.

Anyone who is uncomfortable with pets or allergic to pet fur isn't going to be very happy with me. I did once try dating someone who was afraid of my animals; it wasn't successful.

On another note: I am too selfish to share my lovers... If you're looking for group sex, or a second or third life partner, good luck finding someone elsewhere :)
