My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
I've never been good at these things [I feel like everyone says that...?] but, I'll try anyway. Just an average/not average [who is one or the other? Really now...] 24 year old, tryin' to make something of himself. I'm an approachable, friendly, loveable, curious, slightly pervy, goofy, oblivious to sarcasm, furball of a dude who likes Threadless Ts. And Naruto. Throw Sailormoon in there too. I'm happiest after a long day relaxing, or with close friends. They're the best. :)
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
Just finished up my degrees in the Humanities, working, saving money for a PhD program hopefully in Seattle, but open to other programs as well, but...hopefully, that's where I'll end up. I'm also an aspiring writer; already got a few things published! Hooray.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Procrastinating, being on time, daydreaming. Listening to a lot of new music. I never turn it off! I'm always listening to something. Offering opinions...lending a listening ear. I guess? I think I'm an alright writer, video -gaymer-, chef/cook (I don't think I'm fancy enough to call myself a chef, but I make a damn good lasagna, a recipe passed down from my mama. The best cook in the world, obviously.)
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
Probably my ever changing facial hair...beard, whatever. Glasses.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Help your potential matches find common interests.
I really do enjoy a lot of different things; I get really into them and enjoy sharing my interests with others.

Book/Writing wise...anything Flannery O'Connor, Emily Dickinson, John Keats, Lord Byron, William Faulkner, David Sedaris, Dave Eggers, Michel Foucault, Edward Said, Judith Butler, Miranda July, Patricia Smith...the list goes on, which is pretty long. I'm really into American Transcendentalism, British Romanticism, and 20th/21st century philosophy. I also really enjoy comic books, manga, and superheroes; some of my favorites are Batman, Batgirl, the X-Men, and the Young [and old!] Avengers.

When it comes to movies, I didn't grow up in a movie watching family. A good friend is currently educating me on the fine art of film watching and classic movies, so that's going pretty well, actually. I ADORE Ingrid Bergman, Lauren Bacall, Cary Grant, and Joseph Cotton. I also like your typical fast paced action movies, especially the superhero ones. Won't turn down a thoughtful documentary either.

TV is pretty simple. True Blood, Breaking Bad, Mad Men, Girls, Justified, Star Trek [Commander Riker is soooooo dreamy.] Naruto, Sailormoon, any assorted anime series. I'm really into tennis as well, so I watch a lot of that too. BTW - ajde Aga, Novak, and JJ! If you get these references, we should just go ahead and get married.

Music. I'm just gonna throw down a short list. There's way too much to mention, but...The Smiths, Kate Bush, Camera Obscura, Taylor Swift, Belle & Sebastian, The National, Sigur Ros, Andrew Bird, Iron & Wine, Annie, Chairlift, The Antlers, Joanna Newsom, Miguel, Portishead, Rufus Wainwright, Regina Spektor...I said short list, right?

Food. Everything. Really. Except mayo/miracle whip and lima beans. And guacamole. Gross.

Well, thinking about and writing all of that out was exhausting.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
Nerds candy, the internet, friends, family, tasty food, music.

There's a more logical list out there somewhere but...you get what I mean. I guess. :)
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
American studies, writing, poetry, friends, family, the normal stuff, I suppose. Cute boys. Folk studies.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Wondering why I'm in on a Friday night...or not working. At the occasional party, outing, or any other shenanigans. Having a nice beer or a glass of wine with some close friends.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
If you ask nicely, I MAY tell you. :)
You should message me if
Offer a few tips to help matches win you over.
you want someone to talk to, need a partner in beer tasting, anime watching, geek outing, John Keats fawning...
