My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
I am a fierce, passionate, intense, geeky, kinky, poly, submissive, adventurous, loving, tender, flirtatious, fitness-seeking, self-improving, spiritual, paternal, Chicago refugee with a big heart. I can also be a righteous condescending ass, especially when experiencing the comedy of errors that is Northern California traffic.

An extrovert by nature, outgoing by choice. ENFP

I am currently exploring the polyamorous life. My goal would be to share a home with a quad (the only way I'm likely to be able to afford a home out here) and perhaps even share parenting. It's just a dream at this point, but it's one I like.

"How can it be that a shared good makes a greater number of possessors richer by it than if it is owned by a few?’ And he to me: ‘Because you fix your eyes, again, only on earthly things, you produce darkness from true light. That infinite and ineffable good, that is up there, rushes towards love as a ray of light rushes towards a bright body. The more ardour it finds, the more it gives of itself, so that, however far love extends, eternal good causes its increase: and the more people there are up there who understand each other, the more there are to love truly, and the more love there is, and, like a mirror, the one increase reflects the other." --Purgatorio Canto XV:37-81
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
Working hard, studying for certification exams (UPDATE: I just finished my MCSE:Messaging!), learning to be a better gentleman, finding my creative streak (writing and a short film project I'm trying to storyboard for, Burning Man, DJing when I can, singing, trying to teach myself music mixing/remixing, and working (of course)

I've taken up Kendo and go to class from 7-8 on Tuesdays or Thursday nights (depending on my schedule). I like going to Planet Granite to climb but have been wanting for belay partners as of late.

I've started up an improv comedy class I've been dying to take for 2 years but couldn't because of scheduling reasons. It's like extrovert boot camp turned up to 11 and I'm loving it!

I've started cycling around town a lot lately because I find it much more relaxing than driving but still faster than walking.

When I'm not doing all that I'm discussing relationships, games, and movies with good friends.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
finding the right words, making people laugh, and improvising when plans go awry
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
My eyes, my smile, my warmth, my newly green hair, and a biting sense of humor.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Help your potential matches find common interests.
Books: Stranger in a Strange Land, the Dresden Files, the Age of Unreason books by J. Gregory Keyes, Daemon & Freedom by Daniel Suarez, The MarketPlace novels by Laura Antoniou, SteelHeart by Brandon Sanderson

TV: The Muppet Show, Supernatural, Neon Genesis Evangelion, Warehouse 13, Sherlock, Tin Man, Arrow, Game of Thrones, Torchwood, pre Moffat Doctor Who, Misfits, Pushing Daisies, Firefly, Red Dwarf, Galavant

Movies: A Scanner Darkly, Strange Days, Brick, Tron, Rifftrax of various films, Plan 9 from Outer Space, Rocky Horror, old Star Wars, old kung-fu movies, Repo: The Genetic Opera, Clue, The Devil's Carnival, The Zero Theorem

Music: Icon of Coil, Bad Religion, Apocalyptica, Garbage, Lords of Acid, Lacuna Coil, Save Ferris, Bif Naked, Pennywise, Rise Against etc., etc. A song that will always stick with me is 'Knock Me Out' by Linda Perry and Grace Slick. Two of the most impressive women in popular music of their respective generations together on a song that just makes me ache

Food: Simple chinese dishes, mediterranean, a good burger, a decent salad, etc. For me the company is more important than the food. Although finding a calm center at one of my favorite little taverns with a shepard's pie is a wonderful thing...
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
My journal, my bike, music, kitties, shinai, along with a healthy dose of sex/love/bondage (I think that counts as one thing :p )
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
If I can find someone to spar with. (and why do I think that's a romantic activity?)
Wanting to have partners who are more active than me while still allowing me to keep up with them.
What I want to study if I go back to a traditional college education.
If I'll ever find an art form I'm passionate enough about to dedicate myself to.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
I recently came off working weekends so I'm still figuring out how to do Friday nights again

Going to the Citadel if possible, hooking up a bad-movie night with my friends, talking, reading, going to a munch, working, DJing (if I can get a gig), prepping for Burning Man, or just relaxing at home with my kitty laying across my stomach

I'm kinda in love with bicycling (especially at night) I find it meditative and fun...
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I have trust issues and occasionally have a hard time accepting help from people (damned foolish pride)

I get pangs of paternal energy which I resolve by being a caring friend and partner (or doting on my pets)

I hate that this site thinks I'm less love-driven when I want to be loved and cared for even in my most casual of relationships...

I want someone to take me on adventures!
