My Self-Summary

I'm a recent college grad who's a bit aimless right now. I'm very happy to be done with school, but now face the task of figuring out what lies ahead. I'm not really on the market for a long-term or serious relationship, but would still like to have some new friends and maybe more in my life. I am a very easy-going individual. I like photography, cats, movie-watching (I just got Netflix and it's kind of awesome), board games, Happy Hours, being with other people. I like to have conversations with people, provided we have the chemistry to make it flow (which, I hate to say, is often not the case). I'm very open-minded and down to try new things and meet people from different backgrounds with different viewpoints and beliefs.

But all that aside, you'll get a much better "self summary" of me if you send me a message or we chat. I admire honesty and directness.

What I’m doing with my life

I just graduated Stanford with a math degree. Everyone says, "Oooh, you can do anything with that!" Honestly, it doesn't really feel that way, and I suppose that's because I don't really know what I want to do right now. I spent a nice summer in San Francisco doing nothing in particular, and now I'm back at home in SoCal. I'm looking for a job, and in my free time reading, drinking coffee, practicing German, watching movies, and hopefully meeting people. I figured since I don't yet have commitments, now would be a good time to travel, live somewhere else, and try my shot at a whole new beginning. Thus, I'm moving to Berlin in late December.
Now in German
Ich werde in Dezember in Berlin sein! Icn kann nicht warten. Berlin ist ganz toll.

I’m really good at

Enjoying things for what they are, getting along with people, not taking things very seriously, Math, thinking logically, drinking, not believing in God, having fun, GoldenEye for N64, partying, kissing, and being nice.

My favorite books, movies, music, and food

The Picture of Dorian Gray, Catcher in the Rye, The Berlin Stories, Slaughterhouse-Five, The Beautiful and Damned, The Rules of Attraction, the Fountainhead.

Of Montreal, The Beatles, Modest Mouse, Radiohead, The Dandy Warhols, Belle & Sebastian, Queen

Movies like Being John Malkovich, The Big Lebowski, Battle Royale, Y tu mamá también, The Royal Tenenbaums, The Rocky Horror Picture Show, Eternal Sunshine, American Beauty, Kill Bill, Adaptation, and Fargo. There are a lot of movies I like, though, and it's always fun to watch new ones.

The most private thing I’m willing to admit here

I think people usually smell very good one or two days without a shower.
