My self-summary Propose an edit
People tell me I'm hard to read. It's not intentional.
However, I am very passionate about lots of things. Name a topic
and it's pretty much a given that my opinion falls to the far left.
I'm a vegetarian and agnostic, though I do not lecture
people who aren't. But a little friendly debate/discussion can be
fun if both parties are prepared for it.
I'm a writer.
Stories are my passion, both telling and being told. I don't know
much about expression or emotion or art or sports or music or
physics. I let other people deal with those things. I only care
about stuff that never happened.
I'm obsessed with horror movies/books/whatever. I guess I
sometimes wish for a zombie apocalypse, just to break the monotony
of life in the real world. According to the tests here, I'd
probably do okay. Hole up in a Wal-Mart, raid the sporting goods
for weapons, the pharmacy for medicine. I haven't put much thought
into it, really.
I'm very comfortable by myself, and I'm not the type of person who
constantly feels the need to be in a relationship. I'd much rather
be alone than settle for someone that I'm not crazy about.
And I never want to be in a relationship that can be distilled into
a stand-up comic's joke. Every comic has a bit where they're like
"Women always do this: _______. Am I right, guys?" *guys
laugh/cheer* "But girls, you know men always do this: ________."
*girls laugh/cheer* Are people that predictable and interchangable?
You don't know me, Dane Cook!
I see my life as a story. I'm waiting for the huge plot twist, but
I usually see them coming. Do you?
What I'm doing with my life Propose an edit
I've been getting into activism, but not as much as I want to
be eventually. I want to get into civil rights, animal rights, LGBT stuff, the environment, and other
typical ACLU liberal
agenda stuff. Bill O'Reilly fears me, as do the old kooks who
protest outside the abortion clinic by my house.
In my spare time, I'm writing stories, learning to play my
bass, hitting the
town with friends, singing terribly at karaoke, etc etc.
I have a crappy job, but I make enough money to live alone, eat, go
out when I want, and manage to save a little bit. But I don't
really buy things. I hope to improve the situation at some point.
But for the moment, I'm doing the whole seat-of-my-pants, no
frills, starving writer thing. And I'm enjoying the heck out of
it.
I'm also running a long-term experiment on the effects of sleep
deprivation on the human psyche. I've titled it "My Life". I hate
sleeping. It's such a waste of time. I was awake for almost 100
hours once, without the use of any drugs. It was pretty intense.

Debating things.
Swearing without swearwords (Go fold yourself, you son of a
mom!).
Functioning on little to no sleep.
Fixing your A/V woes.
Knowing useless pop culture trivia. Seriously, no one can beat me
at Trivial

My blue glasses or
my hair that defies any sort of styling product. I've pretty much
stopped trying and just let it do what it wants.
My favorite books, movies, music, and food Propose an edit
Words: Anything by China Mieville, Caitlin R. Kiernan,
H.P. Lovecraft,
Brian K.
Vaughn, or Warren Ellis. I like horror novels
and some comic books. I hated Harry Potter for a long time because
I worked a book store, but I just read the whole series and it was
actually pretty good.
Flicks: Magnolia, Groundhog Day, Serenity, Battle Royale, Suspiria, any and every
zombie movie, Fight
Club, Near Dark, Punch Drunk Love, Moulin Rouge, Rent, Snatch,
The
Devil's Rejects, Cry-Baby, High Tension
Tunes: I hate music. But I do make exceptions for Streetlight
Manifesto, The Distillers, Against Me!, Rasputina, Toadies, The Gaslight Anthem,
Catch-22, Leftover Crack, The Gits, Mike Patton, Fiona Apple, and
David Bowie...
I also generally like female vocalists, and COVER SONGS.
Vittles: Peanut butter, craisins, tofu, guacamole, smoothies,
pickles, mustard, hot sauce, falafel, seitan, soy milk, and pizza
with weird toppings like french fries and mac and cheese. Also,
Diet Pepsi MAX, Wisconsin microbrews, hard ciders, Jager, Sparks,
bloody marys, vodka tonics, etc. And I consider myself an energy
drink aficionado of the highest degree.
Tube: Buffy,
Angel, Veronica Mars,
BSG, Scrubs, Futurama, The Office, Family Guy,
Freaks
& Geeks, The Daily Show, Spaced, The Mighty Boosh, Garth
Marenghi's Darkplace, I'm Alan Partridge, Dexter, Countdown with Keith Olbermann, The Rachel Maddow Show

Why I keep finding dead bees in my apartment, even with the windows

can't survive the transition. I'm afraid to meet the queen. She may

I've been told I'm a good kisser by both men and women.
I sometimes feel like I'm the single stable rock in a world of

You know what a bitca is.
You want to wow me with your karaoke rendition of Snow's
"Informer".
Or you know of a horror movie you think will scare me.
