I graduated college in June 2003, fought wildland fire for the final summer ever
(did it for five years total) and gave it up and moved into a
steady, year-round, (responsible) permanent job as an editor for a
biotech trade magazine in Eugene...
Enjoy the job, for now. Get to travel lots- not always exciting places,
but in 2007 I went to Puerto Rico, Paris, France, Boston, MA
(twice), and San Diego, CA.
Seriously though, I play ultimate frisbee and enjoy
other disk sports. I enjoy hiking in the local area and my biggest
hobby is photography. I love going to
beautiful places to take photos.
I have a cat, Dot, and she's a sweetie... she has two kittens
that I let her keep, Denali and Kenai (they're also sweet). I grew
up on a farm with cows, goats, sheep, chickens, dogs and cats, so
three pets is really a step down, but all I can afford right now
(and really all I want to take care of at the moment).
I majored in Natural Resources Communications at the Oregon
State U College of Forestry.... no, I don't talk to Trees.... I
actually combined science and journalism, specifically
macro-biology/ecosystem science/forestry and
writing/editing/advertising/reporting/multimedia.
I also milk goats two days a week.... editing doesn't pay all the bills. And I've been stuck there for the last year and a half because my stepsister wanted to work there but needed a ride, and then my MOM decided to work there and really actually needs the income but likes working with me, so guilt is keeping me there...
I am caring, driven, and logical
