My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
Originally from a small town in Ireland, I've been gallivanting around New York for almost six years at this stage, but haven't lost the beguiling, bewildering brogue just yet :p

My interests are "mixed" to say the least. I have season theater tickets, but enjoy the odd Yankies* game. I used to cook but haven't for years so I eat out a lot, including once at Medieval Times (and not for my sixth birthday). I love being in the city during the week, and out of it at the weekends. I'm outgoing, fiercely loyal, and (mostly) housebroken.

* A friend pointed out that I can't spell "yankees," but it seems more honest (and more telling), to leave it as is. Sports (at least sitting around watching them) just aren't my thing. I have officially tried, and failed at: jet-skiing, fencing, and sky-diving. Actually,"failed sky-diver" is probably an overstatement.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
I'm a mild-mannered attorney at a fancy-pants law firm. By day.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Collecting degrees. However, I can't (or won't) budget to save my life, and seem to spend a lot of time "apologizing for any offense caused."
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
My raucous laugh - from twenty feet away.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food

Music: See "most private thing I'm willing to admit" below.
Books: I'm reading a lot of biographies at the moment, most recently those of Steve Jobs and Tony Blair.
Shows: Dexter, True Blood, Weeds, Entourage, The
Office, TopGear, The Life and Times of Tim, and Desperate Housewives (cringe).
Movies: If you liked Forgetting Sarah Marshall, we're going to get on famously.
Food: I love anything that once had a face (and ideally four "stomachs").
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
Friends (in general), friends who know when to say "that's a Bad Idea" (in particular), contact lenses, the open road, SantaCon, an arc reactor :p
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
Whether the "Buy her A-list" button works.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Hanging out with my friends (they're a fun lot). They are also witty, loyal, generous, and handsome. And proof-read this blurb.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I have varied (read as: "awful") taste in music. Years ago, "hoodlums" broke into our apartment and selectively robbed my then roommates' CDs, but not mine, from our shared rack. My collection, if not my pride, remains intact.
