My self-summary Propose an edit

Though I have listed myself as Bi, I don't know that I want to be with a man ever... It's complicated... I don't mind explaining, but not here.

I'm not sexy, I'm just me... I like to play my guitar and sing for the old folks. I need to loose weight - and I am working on that, but it just hasn't happened yet, however, I am not giving up.

I love being challenged in a conversation about worldviews, religion, beliefs... etc... not so much politics, though I have been thinking more about that lately... I like to share my experiences with people - but only after I have gotten to know you a little bit... that's only wise. On the other hand, I am open to somebody talking to me about whatever, within sane limits, and if a person feels the need to confide, I am a great keeper of secrets... I can easily forget what you told me and I am very forgiving...

Oh yes, I LOVE animals! I've have cried on several occasions while watching the Animal Cops shows on Animal Planet... both tears for sadness at the abuse that people pour out on the helpless creatures, and tears for happiness at how happy this dog or that cat now is in its new family.

Mainly, on this site, I am looking to meet new friends more than hoping to find my "one and only." If she happens also to be a member here, and we find each other, that would be so excellent and stellar! I also might be interested in finding that one guy...but I just don't know that you exist. However, just in case you do, I have my orientation as "Bi."

For the most part, I am attracted to women.

What I'm doing with my life Propose an edit

I just recently decided that I want to go back to school to study comparative religion. I am sooo excited about that! In the meantime, I work privately as a home health aide for the elderly... a job that I love. Not only do elderly persons have a special place in my heart, but this "job" has taught me a great deal about compassion, patience, and how to care for another human being.

Also, sometimes I am very articulate and can go on for ever about this or that, ... more frequently, I flub up simple sentences..."uh, I'm going to that thing where you, uh, buy things..." ;) OK, so really it isn't THAT bad. hee hee silly me. I'm an excellent listener... and I love to correspond...as long as it's immediate like email or IM. I really looooove to write emails back and forth...

hmmm.... I've been told I have nice eyes. I have never asked anyone what the first thing they noticed about me was. I generally have a quiet demeanor, or quiet affect, and I am very peaceful. I SO wish I could say something like, "My STUNNING good looks," but it is not to be for me. I have been told that I have a "presence," though I am not sure that means anything as everyone has one of those!

I love Hundertwasser, Klee, Klimpt (who doesn't right?), Carravaggio.. and many others...

Ben Harper! Janis Joplin! Newsboys! Sarah McLachlan! Fiest! yah baby and many others... I tend to pick and choose, not really sticking to one genre.

I have to give notice to IMAGINE YOU AND ME!!!! That movie so changed my life... it's also complicated, but I will explain if you want to know...maybe after we get to know each other a little more...

Some other great movies: 300, Runs with Scissors, Life of Brian (pretty much anything Montey Python gets me), Love Absolutely Fabulous (the first two seasons and the movie "The Last Shout.") Disney's Sleeping Beauty and the Lion King, The Matrix, Star Wars, LOTR, movies like that... etc...and well... I can never remember all of them...but actually, I need to increase my movie knowledge, so if you have any good ones I should watch - let me know.

FOOD: Italian, Indian, Chinese, Thai and plain old 'merican.
