Books: escapist, fantasy, sci-fi, mystery/suspense. Favorite authors: Dick Francis, Brandon Sanderson, Lois McMaster Bujold, Nelson DeMille, Neil Gaiman.

TV: Firefly, House, Elementary, Terriers.

Music: rock, jazz, some classical. Current favorites are Porcupine Tree, Guthrie Govan, and Pat Metheny.

Movies: blockbusters, westerns, sci-fi, comedies, drama. Recent favorite is "The Guard".

NPR: Wait Wait... Don't Tell Me, This American Life, Science Friday, David Sedaris, The Moth.

Food: almost everything, especially if it's spicy, flavorful, or dessert. I'm pescetarian, but it's fine if you're not.

Notebook computer, cell phone, NPR, breakfast, the great outdoors, regular exercise.

Work, politics, key lime pie.
