So I'm planning on diving head first into the world of photography (of which I know next to nothing). I admire those who have an eye for it, and I've always been artistically inclined, mostly familiar with painting, drawing, etc. I'm often captivated by black & white photographs and think to myself, "I need to sketch that photo." Anyway, I've been looking into purchasing my first digital SLR and after doing some research, I've come up with three cameras that fit my needs and are within my price range: the Nikon D40, Canon Rebel XS, and Sony A200 (or A300).

Anybody out there have any suggestions or recommendations?? I realize that this post probably only applies to a very small percentage of OkCupid users (and would probably get more feedback from a photography forum...), but I figured if I'm going to post something up, it might as well be something worthwhile. Any advice is greatly appreciated. :)
