OK, I have revived my OKCupid profile from a nearly year-long
slumber. Bear with me if anything is askew. I deleted out of
frustration with this site and with myself---I am a NJ to NYC
commuter. The long train rides make me feel displaced and home to
neither state.
So, I decided to move. I packed my things for Queens! However, my
move fell through and I ended up in the same exact situation as
before. It's not so bad; I have a nice apartment in the suburbs, a
great housemate, and a car to visit my family further down the East
Coast.
Still, why would you want to date a commuter?
- Do you live in NYC? Then you want nothing to do with a man who
has a NJ Transit-imposed curfew.
- Do you live in NJ? Then you want nothing to do with a man who
arrives in the state only to sleep and shower.
- Are you a commuter yourself? Then you are already married. I am
the only single commuter. Trust me; I've checked the left hands.

What I’m doing with my life
I am an incurable theatre queen and work for an NYC
non-profit arts organization. I am not involved in the production
aspects at all---I am strictly a mild-mannered office worker.
However, I am very proud of the work we put onstage. In my spare
time I jog, I write, I zzz.

Two recent films I really *really* enjoyed were The Brothers Bloom and
Moon. I read mostly
non-fiction---I really enjoyed Naomi Klein's The Shock Doctrine. I
have been a longtime fan of dance music, even though I rarely go to
any clubs. Foodwise, remember: Wednesday is Sushi Day.
