-lived in Los Angeles for the past 5 years and Chicago for 12 years before that. I've been a photographer for most of my professional life. One of my most proud accomplishments was photographing Jennifer Hudson for Rolling Stone magazine. But- I'm not sure what I'll be doing career-wise in Michigan yet. I tried my hand at bartending and now I'm helping my dad renovate one of his rental houses. I have also just finished up a year of pre-req's to get into grad school and was thinking I would be attending next year for occupational therapy but have now changed my major to be a physician's assistant. Not sure how it's all going to go down yet. Lots of transitioning.
Even though I've been living in urban areas, I could never leave the trees. It's the first thing I look for in choosing a new place to live. So being back among the trees is feeling pretty good so far.
I like making art, thinking and talking about making art (photos, paintings, found object/junk stuff), drinking beer, fireplaces, conspiring on how to get rooted enough to live with my piano again and at the same time devising on how to be a professional snowbird, cooking healthy food, eating out at Thai, Ethiopian, sushi and pizza places, riding my bike or walking as my main forms of transport, drinking ONLY 2 cups of coffee per morning, yoga, pilates, core workouts with the exercise ball, swimming in lakes, skyping with friends in different states and countries, and studying psychology.
