Hello!

In the past 3 years, I've lived in Romania, India, Iceland, Thailand, New Zealand, and Argentina. I'm originally from California. I'm back in the US for 6 months or so, to focus on businessy things. Most of that time will be spent in Missoula, Montana.

I generally move around quite a bit - a new country every 4 months, based on the votes of my readers. More info about all that at ExileLifestyle.com, if you're interested.

I also run a branding studio, a small publishing company, and a few other businesses. I've written a handful of books — mostly narrative nonfiction about my travels and businessy books about my work, though I've recently tried my hand at speculative scifi. We'll see how that goes.

I have a degree in Graphic Design and one in Illustration.

I choose to live the way I do because I know that I have a very finite amount of time before I die, so I may as well have a great time while I'm here. The only tragedy is the unexplored, unexperienced life, and I fully intend to experience as much as possible.

I'm on here because I find it's a great place to make new friends while I travel. Sometimes those friendships turn into something more, but I have zero expectations beyond finding cool people to spend time with.

Also: I'll try anything once. Sometimes twice. Probably a lot more if I'm really into it.

Also also: I'm a phenomenal Tetris player and above-average yo-yoist. So keep that under your hat.

Waking up to the sound of life. Eating breakfast that tastes like victory. Going to work, marching to the beat of 7 or 8 different drummers. Lunch? Also tastes like victory, because it's leftovers from breakfast. Dinner is pasta. The drinks are liquid gold, sipped in the company of gods and spirits with animal heads or bodies.

Bootstrapping, knee-slapping, hand-clapping, mouth-flapping, earth-mapping, gift-wrapping...okay, this is getting out of hand.

I get a lot of people asking me if I'm an actor, which is great because I couldn't act my way out of a paper bag.

I also have the hands of a pianist, though I doubt anyone notices right away (or cares if they do).

Too many to list, really...I read 6-10 books each month, and there's just a lot of good stuff out these days.

Really love indie flicks and documentaries. A few favorites include Confessions of a Dangerous Mind, Brick, and Kiss Kiss Bang Bang.

I tend to partake in whatever the locals eat in whichever country I happen to be in at the time, but I have a special place in my heart for rice and quinoa.
