i have a deep love and passion for social justice, and i integrate this love and passion into my work and life. one of my favorite quotes is, "speak your mind, even if your voice shakes" --maggie kuhn.

i love music festivals. i'd travel cross country to hear good live music. i really enjoy exploring and sharing music with friends. i'm also a fan of singing thai karaoke songs. i'm not much of a club dancer; but i love dancing outside, on the beach, at festivals, etc.

i love spontaneous road trips and travelling. i've spent a significant amount of time in southeast asia and have been to uzbekistan. high on my list of places to go are: kenya, tanzania, south africa, ireland, chile, alaska and the grand canyon.

the environment is a huge part of my life. i teach environmental ed and am always learning new ways to live greener. i am part of a movement to reduce plastic bag waste in DC.

What I’m doing with my life

i run a youth leadership program in DC that focuses on environmental/outdoor education, global cultures, understanding diversity, service learning and youth empowerment. i love my job!

outside of work, i love to explore! i like to spend my weekends hiking, camping, exploring the area, reading at local coffee shops, etc.

i've been involved in activism and advocacy on different levels throughout my life and plan to continue this....
