My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
I prefer to be outdoors. i take care of my home and cherish that it is peaceful. I clean and tidy a lot - thanks Mum. I put a lot of energy into what I eat, so that I'll feel good and stay pretty healthy.
A few random facts: I pick up trash on my road and lint off strangers. i love it when someone gets my sense of humour. I'm a dedicated friend. I like to make and build things. I have the sweetest dog in the world.
People don't believe me when I tell them my age. When I was younger, I felt more comfortable with elders and now I tend to need younger folks to play with since they still have energy, optimism, and want to play.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
working as a physical therapist, volunteering a bit, learning the art of human interaction, enjoying my little community, commuting by motorcycle, at war with the kudzu, cycling on/off road, exploring new trails on foot or wheel, paddling on the lakes, practicing yoga, trying to get the most mileage out of this body, Moving! Practicing handstands.

**WHAT I'M LOOKING FOR: with most of my difficult growth behind me (me thinks), i am ready and able to be a good partner to another. i want an equal who can support and be supported, share and grow together. okay, Universe, i've got solo down pretty well, bring me someone to share the next chapter with!
I’m really good at

BOOKS take a long time to read, if i finish them. I have the best intentions and an impressive stack next to my bed, zzzz. however, a few have kept my attention: stiff and bonk by Mary roach. Kingsolver's prodigal summer; animal, vegetable, miracle. anatomy by Netter. geek love. she's not there. the man who fell in love with the moon. stiff. the book thief. buddist teachings (any of pema chodron).

MOVIES (rarely watch lately): billy elliot, triplets of belleville, sordid lives, best in show, hedwig and the angry inch, the 7 up series, man on wire, religulous, documentaries about nature, the Earth, and our national parks.

MUSIC: favorite way to listen is pandora (neko case, Gillian welch, the be good tanyas. With some Tron tracks thrown in) or my ipod plugged into some sweet computer speakers: pj harvey, jeff buckley, moby, the smiths, grace jones.

FOOD: healthy, fresh food. the less it's traveled, the better. happy meat of all sorts. local trout. roasting and baking a lot of veg.

On a typical Friday night I am

The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
Not private, but weird to some people: I like the smell of skunk. There are lots more interesting bits I'll not broadcast here. Really !
