My self-summary
I DO NOT RESPOND TO BLANK PROFILES AND THOSE WITH NO PICTURES. You should be able to convey at least as much information, both written and pictoral, as I do. Otherwise I'm wasting my time. Thanks.

outofthis-world because that is what I am and what I seek - in a partner and a relationship. And because outofthisworld was taken. ;)

Boys: we need to see pictures. Lots of pictures. Okcupid let's you upload up to 10 at a time, use it! Also, we need to see skin. And high resolution. Otherwise we just think you're hiding something. See how many pics I have up? Should I give you the time of day if I'm at some huge disadvantage? And can you get a little more creative than the cell phone in the bathroom mirror? This is the digital age. You have GOT to have better digital photos of yourself.

Why do so many people think that "settling down" or "growing up" has to mean "becoming boring"?

I want a playmate. A partner in crime. A collaborator. A matching puzzle piece. Maybe someday we'll have little mini playmates and puzzle pieces together, maybe not. But either way, I just don't believe that being in a serious relationship, getting married, etc. has to mean we don't "go out", "be silly", "party", "have fun"!

I dance. I want to explore space. I laugh. I cry. I meditate. I play. I skate, I snowboard, I wakeboard, I dive, I go to Burning Man, i wear costumes and I do circus-type stuff. I like to make people laugh. I can be sarcastic and witty, yet also quiet and contemplative. I'm a performer (fire dancer, aerialist hooper, stiltwalker, etc) while being an engineer at NASA. I usually prefer to do the doing instead of the watching although I love concerts, Cirque du Soleil- type shows, and good action/sci-fi-fantasy movies. Love to watch them (out and cozily at home) though I'd love to be in them too lol. I am not always crazy about cooking but doing it as a team, or better yet having it done for me sounds nice. ;-) I'll gladly do the cleaning then.
Strong, yet sensitive. I can be a lot of fun and a lot of love. ;-) I have had quite the array of intense life experiences (world travel, "rock-star" moments, zero-gravity moments, death/loss), that I've been told I should write a book about. Highly technical and analytical but also very creative, expressive, compassionate, and spiritual. Born in Chicago to Ecuadorian immigrants, i was raised in Chicago and San Diego, and have lived in L.A., Seattle, Boulder CO, upstate NY, Germany, Spain, France, Japan, and Ecuador. No I am not a military brat. This was all for work, school, or wanderlust. Ok one time was for a boyfriend. But I was really young.

I moved to Houston in 2008 for my current job (NASA). I live in Montrose and commute to Clear Lake. This way i can have a real life. ;-) I have two adorable cats who are very cozy with humans but I got sick of their litter boxes so when I bought my townhouse in 2010 I put in cat doors!

Somewhere I read that the most successful marriages are between best friends who have the hots for each other, and I tend to agree. Let's see if we click!
What I’m doing with my life
I think I already answered that
I’m really good at
dancing, finding what i'm looking for on the internet, meeting new people and making new friends, snowboarding, singing in the car, typing fast, quoting cult sci-fi and comedy, painting my face, doing up my hair, costumes, fire dancing, handstands,

and surprising you.
The first things people usually notice about me
from the front - my exotic- ness. And the presence about me. My positive energy.
from the back - my ass. and my hair if it's down. well...it's true.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
LOVE music, but have very specific and eclectic tastes. Here's some examples:
Chemical Brothers, Paul Simon, Madonna, Michael Jackson, Ottmar Liebert, Crystal Method, 80s, Digweed, Oakenfold, Bollywood, Sting, Bjork, Kirtan, Depeche Mode, Enya, Daft Punk, Goa/Psy trance, Daniela Mercury, Beastie Boys, and many underground/local DJs - some of them my friends!

meditation, sleep

Thai, Indian, Vietnamese. Tortilla Chips. Chocolate. Pancakes. And the Tuesday/Thursday $1 tamales at Berry Hill Montrose. Also, 1-pump hazelnut soy lattes from Starbucks. I used to LOVE pepperoni pizza (especially from Little Caesar's) but now I'm gluten-free, dairy-free, and vegetarian (i do however eat eggs and sometimes fish.

One of the only things I ever cook is gluten-free pancakes. And I'll eat a mountain of them. Mmmm...love my metabolism.

Movies: sci-fi and fantasy are my faves.
Also, just saw My Week With Marilyn again and I soooo understand how she feels.
The six things I could never do without

I spend a lot of time thinking about
Star Wars vs Star Trek. Are you kidding me? The more the better, it's not a matter of either - or.

Seriously though:
-whether there is the right match for me out there
-how these questions suck
-more adventures
-hotties
-when will i go to space
-how my next gig is going to go
-interactions with people
-my spiritual growth
-the question "why are you so amazing and yet single?" - I hate this question. Why are YOU still single?
On a typical Friday night I am
no typical friday night. could be movies, clubbing, out to dinner, wearing a crazy costume around town, doing a gig (i am a performer/dancer), chilling at home to a movie, or on a plane somewhere. During winter I am likely flying to the mountains to snowboard. YEAH!
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
Sometimes I'm paralyzed by indecision. It can go on for weeks.

Sometimes I get into these moods where I like to MST-3K people, especially in meetings or lectures. I can't help it. I know it can be kinda rude, but it's my comedic genius. Really I have heard the laughs. Mine own too. That's not really private, but that's all you're gonna get here.
I’m looking for
  • Guys who like girls
  • Ages 32–47
  • Near me
  • Who are single
  • For long-term dating, short-term dating, activity partners
You should message me if
You're seriously hot and smart.

You get my sense of humor.

You live inside the loop, preferably Montrose, River Oaks, Museum District, Mid-town, Washington corridor, or Downtown areas. Ok the Heights too.

You don't smoke, not even a little bit, nor are you "trying to quit."

You LOVE dancing. Like it's your lifeline. And you don't need to be drinking alcohol to boogie down. In fact dancing actually makes you drunk.
