I try to live with a verve that can only be properly measured in
big gulps of summertime air and the fragrant gust of autumn
leaves.
My mother raised me to be a sensitive domestic.
I keep a clean house and I possess empathy.
My father taught me how to use power tools and fix mechanical
things. It is because of him that I enjoy the scent of diesel
fuel.
I grew up in Detroit, MI
I get nostalgic about home when I smell freshly paved
asphalt.
I have always loved cars, and I know lots of little details about
all sorts of them.
My childhood was both meager and puritanical;
I enjoy the finer things and a bit of deviance now and then.
I speak Spanish, and it saddens me that I have not practiced as
much as times past.
I'm a eudaemonist;
I make my decisions based on whether or not they will make me
happy
If I were a pharmaceutical product, I would try to be
Wellrounditol.
I consider my life an ongoing struggle of simultaneous
pursuits.
I want the finer things,
I want to be happy,
I want to be interesting.
I try to stay well versed in popular culture so I can laugh at
other peoples jokes.
I would hope it to be one of my more endearing qualities that I
don't objectify women.
I am a business consultant based out of
Philadelphia
Sometimes this can imply a lot of
traveling, which is fun because I am
still young enough to enjoy it. Although, given the current
economic climate, I am often working here in the city.
Outside of work, Im trying to make the most of my free time.
My energy is inescapable, you can tell from being around me that im
charged with all sorts of positive vibes.
I have composure.
I am pretty well spoken
I try to dress well, maybe people notice that?
There are of course, many more for each of the sections below, so I
will give my favorites of the moment:
Books:
unbearable lightness
of being,
zen and
the art of motorcycle maintainence, anything by
tom robbins,
Jeanette
Winterson, and other books that stun me with their prose or
their storytelling.
The last book I read was "The Picture of Dorian Grey"
Movies:
Amelie,
Immortal
beloved,
Waking Life,
Stranger Than
Fiction,
run
lola run,
eternal
sunshine of the spotless mind, really it is usually films that
qualify as
artsy or
foreign. I do
enjoy silly comedies from time to time. Occasionally, movies with
very little plot and lots of explosions are good when the mood so
calls for it.
Music:
Drum n'
Bass,
House,
Classical,
Jazz,
Downtempo. Music is
really determined by my mood, so what I listen to changes
frequently. I love it when people introduce me to new music, its
always a great gift. I enjoy being introduced to new types of all
of these subjects, actually. So if you have a great book, movie,
music, or food that you have to share, let me know.
Foods: Food to me is one of the many joys of life. I never met a
mole or pad thai I didnt like. Favorites are usually: Sushi, Thai,
and Mexican food. Emphasis on
spicy.
I could include chocolate here, but that would be false. Chocolate
is not a food, it was invented by the Gods to prove that true love
can exist.
In terms of food, it is easier to list the things I DONT
Like:
Horseradish (unusually strong, only good for clearing
sinuses)
Raisins (I loved you when you were a grape, now the thrill is
gone)
Sauerkraut (come on, who really likes this?)
Swiss Cheese (it just doesnt taste right, sorry)
[if its not on that list, chances are i like it]
I could be classified as an
epicure
Drinking with friends.
I usually go out on Friday or Saturday nights.
I do stay in on occasion, but I need a good reason.
