I'm 41, stand at 5'10. I'm very active and pursue a healthy lifestyle (mentally & physically). What you won't know by looking at me is that I'm ready to have the ball lobbed back into my side of the court. Match wit for wit, passion for passion. I'm not waiting for life to happen & my partner in crime mustn't either. I love to learn. I am true to myself and those around me. I know what I like and I'm not afraid to ask for it. A tall man is a turn on.

I'd like to think my “luggage” is a simple carry-on bag. I love first kisses, golden retrievers, polka dots, red licorice and chai tea (but not all together). I dig lemonade stands, old friends, and the smell of bbq. I love silence, the gift of touch, caramel, and the ocean. I embrace old people and the stories they tell, great food, memorable wine, and bare feet on sandy beaches. I want to see the birth of a child, experience Maine in the Fall, and go to a soccer match in Europe. I love butterflies and getting letters in the mail. I really like eating sushi, and watching an occasional reality tv show. I’ve been to only 9 countries and I yearn to see them all. I love getting dirty in the garden, a really cold beer, and comfy sweats.

I am starting a new business and while the to-do list is quite daunting, the balance of work & play is important.

Finding balance between having fun and being serious. Looking internally and externally for answers. Collecting menus from various restaurants around the world and still loving a local dive bar. Being genuine and true to myself when there are consequences. Meeting people and having a good judge of character. Listening and having something to share. Making a great meal from the farmer's market. Day dreaming for the next vacation. Planning a fun outing with friends.

I love books. They're in every room of my house. You can open one up to any page and find a useful quote that is meaningful without reading the entire book. On my nightstand is: The Big Leap, my grandpa's old yearbook, Gone Girl, and magazines I need to get caught up on.

Movies. I love getting there on time to see the previews and am guided more by suggestions than seeking them out on my own. Anything that is creative, foreign, or makes me think scores points. There is a time and place for blockbuster, chick flicks, and stupid humor. The comfort of my sofa is hard to beat with a glass of wine so you'll find me here more often than a movie theater.

Music. I feel so behind. Music is a bit of an Achilles Heel for me. I like most of what I hear, but I'm slightly intimidated and lazy for seeking out new tunes and bands. Pandora is such a blessing to me! Working in wine, I hear similar stories. So many choices, where do you begin? Intimidated by the process but once you do it is never as difficult as we imagine. Thankfully I have a few friends who are REALLY into it and give me great mixed cd's and invite me to really great shows. KEXP or the Mountain are usually on my dial if my ipod isn't plugged in. Everything from Edith Piaf to Aloe Blacc is on my playlist.

Ah food. Love to cook it. Love to eat it. Love to travel for it. I appreciate great food but cringe for the most part at formality. If I can't be laughing, sharing bites with my friends and having a good time, it isn't for me. Locally my favorites include: Boat Street Cafe, Lecosho, Tilth, Revel, Delancey, and Spinasse.

It's been so long since I've had Friday nights to do as I wish. Friday seems to be the calm before the storm... an ideal night this time of year would be having a friend or two over, with good food/drink, cribbage, fire, background music, relaxing and having fun.
