My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
To catch me in "real life" you should probably check outside... I feel most alive, engaged, and inspired when I'm playing in nature, so I am regularly running or biking the Headlands, hitting the slopes of Squaw or Alpine, camping or lately attempting to surf.

As often as I can, I also try to get a bit further afield to explore and feel extremely lucky to have experienced many great trips, including a few multi-month journeys. I've summited mountains on 5 continents and dove to the depths of them too. I've been a resident of Buenos Aires, Paris, and Paros abroad and both coasts (VT/CT, CA and NOLA) here. I've been robbed at machete-point and shared a hut with goats and Masaai. I feel compelled to experience as much of the world as I can, and would like to continue these adventures. I would love to have a travel partner for the next round. :)

I also volunteer for a few local non profits, work in environmental policy, recycle and compost, eat cleanly, and hug trees (ok, maybe not really the hugging part) but all this because I feel passionate about taking care of the world we live in.

Don't get me wrong though, I love to mix in a good lazy weekend too. And even with all the above being said, I am more and more a believer that I can do, and very much enjoy, just about anything with the right company...
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
Trying to get the most out of it. I do like continually learning and experiencing new things, so can be a bit like a kid in a candy store when it comes to life. Yet I'm also strangely focused, loyal, and driven at the same time.

Trying to figure out how to make others' lives better in the process as well. What can I say...I'm still a bit of a VT hippie idealist at heart, but I'm never fully satisfied if I don't feel like I'm giving back as well.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
remembering lyrics to very random songs
parallel parking
just the right amount of sass
booking vacations/vacations homes. Seriously, my friends can back me up here. I am awesome at this, may even turn it into a business soon.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
my voice if talking... Maybe eyes if not
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food

bit of a nerd with books, I'm happy to admit it. Do a good amount of reading. Recent reads I liked were Cutting for Stone, Night Circus, South of Broad, Devil in the White City, Little Bee and Infidel.

Big fan of clever and witty sarcasm - movies of the Anchorman variety, TV of the Jon Stewart/Family Guy variety, and newspapers of the Onion variety... you get the idea. I don't mind pushing the boundaries of decency for a good laugh at times. But the next day you might find me watching an artsy foreign drama.

I love music but one look at my ipod confuses most because my taste really varies. I listen to mostly alternative-ish/singer-songwriter stuff when just going about my day or driving.

Love food... up to try anything or try and make anything! Cooking is something I really enjoy - along with baking. I also dig bourbon. A well-made brown cocktail is a favorite treat.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
I'm so tempted to find something clever to say here... or just to not say friends/family because that's just a given, otherwise I'd also have to say things like "air" and "water" but trying to be witty to strangers via typing seems foolish. So here are some thoughts:
- laughter
- challenge
- passport -- I know everyone on here claims travel, but this is something I just can't leave off, it has had too much of an impact on my life and I hope to continue to have more off-the-beaten path adventures into the future, ideally even living abroad again.
- variety
- books
- wine (I mean I could totally live without it, but why?!?)
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
If traffic is so bad because everyone is distracted taking car selfies. seriously, how has that become a thing?

life and what it's all about and how to make great memories. how I can make the world a more sustainable, pleasant place. how to be a better person.

people... what they are up to, what a day in their life is like, etc. Kinda random, I know. But along the lines of looking out an airplane window and wondering what it must be like to live in one of the little towns I'm flying over.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
out for happy hour?
cooking dinner?
relaxing with a movie?
driving to tahoe?
I often just rest up to enjoy an early Saturday, but can be easily swayed by a bright idea

You are someone who is fun, funny, adventurous, and enjoys life... I feel drawn to people that don't take themselves or life too seriously, but still know how to handle their business. Can't resist someone a bit feisty as well who will challenge me, so long as you can also take a bit of it in return.
