My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
Are you the girl who fell through the cracks? Stayed together too long with the wrong guy? Or thought she found the one but he turned out to be no fun? If so, I've been looking for you!
-I'm an super energetic, extremely young hearted, and fun loving guy. Age is just a number and an attitude. If you met me at a party you'd think I was 32-37 years old. I always shock people when I reveal my age....I can be the life of the party, sometimes a little crazy (in a fun way), sometimes goofy, but rarely if ever boring. I'm an unselfish & kind person who has a lot to give. I love my friends, my family, & my dog, and I want to experience a relationship that deeply inspires me. I'd love to find a great friend, a great lover, a great companion/partner in crime, and possibly even a soul-mate. I'm searching for a relationship that feels natural, is always fun and surprising, and moves to the next level through mutual understanding and mutual growth. I know that next level is out there, and I can't wait to experience it. Dating can be fun, but there's a lot of hit and miss, and I have no plans on being a serial dater! I'm coming into this online dating world 100% open and unjaded, believing that we can all find exactly what we're looking for! Hopefully I don't eat these words in 6 months (ok now 4 months).
-Things I love to do: I love Exploring LA: The eternal search for LA's best new restaurants, whether it's a Oaxacan taco truck, a Thai soup joint, or a French inspired Japanese tapas joint in a strip mall. I love movies, film inspires me (I'm so behind on movies right now). I love seeing live rock music, the louder the better, although I'm open to all types of live musical acts (except Yanni). I love cooking and eating good fresh food. I collect wine and I can make a world class sangria & margaritas, I love hiking, hanging with Cooper (my old furry buddy). Other assorted things that I like or possibly love: Going to cool new places, DTLA Art Walk, Sunday Hollywood Farmer's Market, staying healthy, (did i mention cooking & wine?), riding the subway, my ipod & iphone 4, getting off of a plane in a far away land and I only know 5 words of the native language, laughing to the point of pain and tears, spontaneous adventures and roadtrips, you, opening my sunroof on a cold night, random inspiration, hyper-focusing, and hanging with my friends, who I usually end up cooking for. I love sports, especially hockey, football, & baseball, but I'm not an a-hole jock guy. I'm equal parts athlete & artist, and while my physique might be masculine (lean and muscular), I'm pretty in touch with my feminine side and love hanging with my female friends.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
Freelance film producer. I mainly produce commercials and music videos, but am starting to get back into features films. However, there's part of me that wants to leave the industry behind and open a little bistro/cafe/wine bar. When I'm not working I'm busy cooking, hanging with friends, seeing live shows or sporting events, taking or planning trips out of LA, exercising, watching movies or games, home improvements, exploring the City, and living life to it's fullest.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
cooking, giving, being passionate, making people laugh, taking pictures, making people comfortable, being the life of a party, diffusing potentially awkward situations, making craft cocktails, running & biking long distances, my job, loving, staying young and healthy. i've been practicing yoga for the past 3 years and think I'll be really good one day......
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
My youthful energy, sense of humor, and that I'm a pretty happy and extremely passionate person. Physically usually my eyes, or arms.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Help your potential matches find common interests.
Books/Reading: Most recently I've been reading a lot on gardening in preparation for planting in my community garden plot. Also partially re-reading the Complete Wine Course by Kevin Zraly. I'm always poking my head through cookbooks, like the French Laundry, Nobu, and tons of other cookbooks. For news and satire NYTimes.com, LAtimes.com, Philly.com and Onion.com. Novels: David Sedaris, Mark Leyner, Tom Robbins, and Anthony Bourdain Magazines: Food & Wine, Men's Health, Saveur, and LA Magazine.

Movies: Goodfellas, American Beauty, Rushmore, Apoc Now, etc etc. Favorite directors: Scorcese, Wes Anderson, Coen Brothers, Alexander Payne, Thomas McCarthy, Fincher, etc etc.

Shows: Mad Men, No Reservations, Real Time with Bill Maher, Archer, Californication, Shameless (best new show on TV), Jon Stewart, also a few cooking shows, etc etc.

Music: Pixies, LCD Soundsystem, Radiohead, The Smiths, Arcade Fire, Cut Copy, The XX, M83, Johnny Cash, Ryan Adams, My Morning Jacket, Tom Waits, etc etc etc.

Food: Cooking, wine, and eating might be the biggest passions of my life. My favorite cuisines are Mexican, Italian, Japanese, and Thai......Not to brag, but I pretty much can cook anything, and love getting super creative with creating new dishes and experimenting with interesting flavors and ingradients. I love to indulge, however, I also generally eat relatively healthy and love to eat green veggies with almost every meal. It's all about moderation and balance, like most thing in life.....*Bonus points if you are somebody who likes to talk about food and collaborate creative while cooking. **Extra bonus points if you like to play really awesome music and drink a little wine while cooking. ***Infinite bonus points if you like to take short breaks while in the kitchen to makeout, which I simply call "chef appreciation time." ha.....
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
-Friends and family
-Great food and wine
-California
-Exercise - I ran the LA Marathon in 2011, but now I do A LOT of yoga. Love it! I can't believe that I waited so long to start practicing!
-Movies, music, and other things that stimulate by brain
-Green tea
-My iphone and laptop
(yeah that's 8, if only want 6 pick your favorite 6)
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
why nobody is touching my awesome butt right now.

how amazing the future is going to be and striving to make all of my dreams come to fruition. I also think about food a lot and am always creating new dishes in my head, then make the concept a reality. I also think about girls quite a bit, especially the awesome ones!
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
There's no real typical in my world. I kind of go with the flow. Some Fridays I'm out with friends having dinner and drinks, others I'm seeing a live show, others I'm cooking for friends and laughing to the point of belly aches, others I'm just chilling at home tired as f***! And some Fridays I like to hop in the car, drive up the coast or somewhere, and get the F out of LA.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I enjoy watching movies dubbed in Spanish, however, only movies I've seen about 10+ times like Point Break, Pulp Fiction, Rushmore, and Election. First of all it's good practice for my ongoing goal of one day being fluent in Spanish, secondly it's f'n hilarious!

I will promise to tell you a little secret if and when we meet.

....you are into laughing to the point of tears, eating great food,
cooking, rocking out, drinking great wine, meeting cool people,
driving an hour to find an incredible undiscovered restaurant,
staying active and being fit, random road trips, being awesome with
0% pretension, being positive, and if you love to love.......

*I have noticed that a lot of women on this site have multiple pictures of their pets. I personally think one picture of "Max" or "Sadie" is enough. I'd rather see what you look like than your dog or cat. I'm on this site to find a girlfriend and the appearance of your pet will have no bearing on me liking you. I am a loving dog owner myself.
**I love that you like to travel (it seems like everybody on this site likes to travel and maybe this is why we're single, just a lil theory). I have been to some really amazing places myself, but when your profile has more plain pictures of the secluded beach in Fiji, Mayan Pyramids, a Duomo in Florence, and a Buddhist temple in Vietnam than pictures of yourself it doesn't seem right. Let's see pictures of you on that beach, jumping for joy in the Piazza, and climbing those stairs! Simple rule: if you can see the same picture via google don't post it. Also, pictures of you with friends are cool. However, when it's impossible to tell who you are within a group of people then it really doesn't help me. Sorry for this little rant, just having fun.
***There are a couple of jokes within my profile, if offended, I'm sorry. Just like making people laugh.
****Sorry much older women, it just won't work. I've tried.
