I am visceral, empathetic, and oblique.
My Self-Summary
i live with my partner and am interested in friendship only.
i'm originally from upstate New York. i love and truly miss real
weather.
My work thrills and inspires me as often as it wears me out. i'm
absolutely driven to learn and improve. i've sustained a deep
devotion to my work and am fiercely passionate about what i
do.
Being self-employed in this part of the world has been tremendously
educational, to say the least.
i've got ideas and standards regarding my own generosity,
forebearance and kindness. i'll never compromise.
i'm devoted to my family, though i wouldn't say we're close.
Too much ice cream gives me a hangover.
What I’m doing with my life
Working
Lining up goals
Learning, learning, learning

I’m really good at
...growing most things.
i'm getting better and better at interpreting the outdoors.
if your sense of humor registers in the goofy-schizo-weird, i'll
make you laugh 'til you spring a leak!
i'm a terrific listener, and quite understanding, i think. i'm also
excrutiatingly shy. Once i'm past my own jittery, awkwardness, i'm
good company.
i don't care to argue and can't bear spite or rudeness.
The first things people usually notice about me
...my appendix
My favorite books, movies, music, and food
Books:
Most of my books are encyclopaedic/reference. i'm not much of a
reader. it's shameful and sad. i'm lucky if i get through all the
cartoons in an issue of The New Yorker.
...still, when i made the time ages ago, i enjoyed:
The Exorcist
The Catcher in the Rye
Bored with the Rings by the Harvard Lampoon.
Got a recommendation? i'll give it a go.
Movies:
Far too many to name.
i was just thinking how much i enjoyed Monsieur Ibrahim. so moving
and fucking beautiful.
i've not yet seen Waltz with Bashir. i have a feeling i'll love
it.
Waking Life and The Triplets of Belleville were magnificent
favorites. ....we shall see.
Food:
These days, my eating habits are worse than my reading
habits.
i'm gonna leave it at that.
Music:
As above...more than i can name, though i don't know i'll ever be
much of a fan for most country/western.
i can't seem to get my head around opera aside from obvious
favorites.
...currently listening to "I'm Only Sleeping" by The Vines.
...seems appropriate this minute.
T.V.
i can watch a lot of junk, though i'm no devoted fan of anything in
particular. i loved the Sopranos!
i can't bear most sports. They bore me to absolute freakin'
madness. i'll make exceptions for most MMA events that haven't been
rebroadcast to death.
The six things I could never do without
My garden.
Finding meaning, having a purpose and some form of
self-expression.
i don't know if it's a talent or skill, but i could walk out the
door right now and find a hundred different things that would
fascinate and inspire me. i appreciate that. ...good for me.
i hear the neighbors' children playing in their yard, laughing and
singing nursery rhymes in French! i live for it! it gets me through
my week!
When the jasmine is in bloom, the fragrance swirls in through the
window. it's smothering. it also makes insomnia far more bearable.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
What i have, what i need and how i'll get it.
Short term goals:
strengthen my singing voice
Find a dog who'd make a good companion
learning to cook and salsa dance
Long term goals:
Learn to ride a motorcycle
Get my hands on a motorcycle
Travel!
Hunt bromeliads in the Andes and, who knows, live among the
Spectacled Bears for a while.
On a typical Friday night I am
Night or day, there's no such thing as typical.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit here
i don't know how to eat less than too much ice cream.
You should message me if
...honestly.
