I've been learning the last few years to actually do stuff that I want to do, rather than just living life day to day. If I want to see the sun rise over Lake Superior, then I get in the car and drive to northern WI in the middle of the night.
I'm the Curator of Natural History in downtown Kenosha and a paleontologist. My main area of expertise is raptors and bird evolution. I'm really looking forward to seeing how Chris Pratt trained that team of Velociraptors to work with him. I think that I've got one of the coolest jobs in the world and there are plenty of 5 year old kids who would agree.
I love game night and have at least one every week. Board games are fun, people. My favorite one I played recently is Takenoko. There's a little panda who runs around eating bamboo just about as fast as the cranky gardener can grow it. Super fun!
I tried doing comedy when I was in college. Stand-up is way harder than you might think.
Recently, I've gotten into the habit of jogging through local parks.
I also like practicing the guitar for the day that someone wants to start a band with me. Let's talk if you play the ukulele, tambourine, or other charming instruments that go with a mediocrely played guitar.
Lately, I've been working a lot in my shop building various things. You need some shelves? I can build you some shelves. :)
