My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
I try to find the humor in most situations. I usually succeed in at least making myself laugh.

I've been learning the last few years to actually do stuff that I want to do, rather than just living life day to day. If I want to see the sun rise over Lake Superior, then I get in the car and drive to northern WI in the middle of the night.

I'm the Curator of Natural History in downtown Kenosha and a paleontologist. My main area of expertise is raptors and bird evolution. I'm really looking forward to seeing how Chris Pratt trained that team of Velociraptors to work with him. I think that I've got one of the coolest jobs in the world and there are plenty of 5 year old kids who would agree.

I love game night and have at least one every week. Board games are fun, people. My favorite one I played recently is Takenoko. There's a little panda who runs around eating bamboo just about as fast as the cranky gardener can grow it. Super fun!

I tried doing comedy when I was in college. Stand-up is way harder than you might think.

Recently, I've gotten into the habit of jogging through local parks.

I also like practicing the guitar for the day that someone wants to start a band with me. Let's talk if you play the ukulele, tambourine, or other charming instruments that go with a mediocrely played guitar.

Lately, I've been working a lot in my shop building various things. You need some shelves? I can build you some shelves. :)
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
Living it.

Started a book club recently as a clever disguise to get other people to read the 200+ books that are on my reading list.

I also just started a natural history based YouTube channel called "Naturally Curious". If you want to see me dance around like a walrus, click this: http://youtu.be/zxAKYW7SE_U
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Doing voices and accents. I've been entertaining my family with them for as long as I can remember.

Binge cleaning my apartment while watching Hoarders. I mean, I keep it pretty clean anyway, but still...
The first things people usually notice about me

Hey, look at how pale he is! Especially in the winter. My office has no windows so I don't see the sun that often.

I don't know otherwise. I asked a friend what the first thing they notice about me is when they see me and they said "usually it's that you need to shave", so I guess let's go with that.

I like a lot of nerdy stuff.

TV: Doctor Who, Firefly, Game of Thrones, Sherlock, The Walking Dead, Shameless, Girls, HIMYM, An Idiot Abroad, Homeland

Movies: The Giant Mechanical Man, Jurassic Park, Star Wars, Lost in Translation, Her, Away We Go, 50/50, Shawshank Redemption, Shaun of the Dead, most Wes Anderson movies, Harry Potter, Marvel

Music: The Beatles, Ben Folds, Mumford & Sons, Of Monsters and Men, She & Him, The Lumineers, Børns, Ed Sheeran, Lily & Madeline. Lots of other stuff too, but there you go.

Books: (I really like reading) Harry Potter, John Green stuff, The Perks of Being a Wallflower, The Wonderous Life of Oscar Wao, A Passage to India, Love in the Time of Cholera, Slouching Towards Bethlehem, One Hundred Years of Solitude
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
If guys on here really just send disgusting, overly sexual messages to girls as much as it would appear.

If I'm over-thinking a situation.

Also traveling. I want to do a lot of it, visit every state and as many countries as possible. Plus, sometimes you just need to get away, even if it's just for the day.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
-Relaxing and watching Netflix
-At or hosting game night
-Out to dinner with friends
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I can't remember a time I went to watch Star Wars and DIDN'T end up watching the whole trilogy.

Also, the song "When I Grow Up" from Matilda the Musical makes me teary eyed, especially when Miss Honey comes in at the end. I don't think we ever really stop growing and if losing all sense of wonder and imagination is what it means to "grow up", I'm glad I haven't yet.

Offer a few tips to help matches win you over.
You like learning and speaking in fake accents. :)

You have a mildly unhealthy interest in board games, Star Wars, Doctor Who, and/or Harry Potter.

Or you want to join my intramural Quidditch team. This is a real thing...
