My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
I spent the last few years bouncing around the country so I'm interested in finding a slightly more permanent residence. I just landed in Seattle this fall and I'm pretty excited about it, much better than my past two years in Indiana, that's for sure.

My boyfriend and I are in an open relationship. I'm cool with seeing people but I'm here more for friends than anything.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
I quit my last job at a small art museum to start trying to find a better place to live and work. I think it is working out for the better.

In the mean time I sell artwork, freelance illustration and design, do art fairs, foster kittens, and tend to my plants. I'm starting to teach myself how to read music and play the cello, it is kind of slow going but I'm having fun with it.

Prior to moving here I lived in a house that had a giant garage with tons of tools and a forge. I'm really missing them, the smell of burning terrible chemicals off of found metal and the feel of hitting orange iron is not something you can recreate in an apartment. I'm going to try and get into precious metals to see if that will help with the need to make things all the time.
Update: copper is so fucking soft.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Throwing spoons with freakish accuracy.
Being a cat/rat/fish/plant mom.
Forgetting names and feeling awful about it.
Not remembering numbers, especially ones I need.
Making an enormous amount of rice and beans.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I get comments about my hair. Apparently bad haircuts with chunks missing are a good thing.

I just realized I shouldn't have deleted this section when I re-did my profile.

Books, lately I've been trying to read the classics I missed over the years.

Movies, I'm all over. I'm happy to sit down and watch just about anything. Right now my favorite movies would have to be Brazil, The Point, The Man Who Fell to Earth, Titus, and Dick Tracy.

Games, Psychonauts. Hands-down best game ever. I play games on Steam quite a bit but flop between two accounts so I have no proof.

Food, I am a fan of sandwiches, spinach, and soup. My favorite dinner is a cheese, olive, and fruit plate.

Music, my list is pretty long and I'm open to a lot of music. I'm distraught that The Books broke up, I have a huge boner for Tom Waits.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
raisins
fig newtons
tea
a sturdy underwire
hands
apples

Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
Don't fuck it up, don't fuck it up.
Aw damn it, I fucked it up.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Either home hanging out, working on art things, playing games and watching moves or hanging out with friends playing board games.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I did not like Firefly. I really tried, I promise!
I will also lose respect for you if you go around sucking Tim Burton's dick.

I have been verbally abused because of these before.

Do you have a book/music/movie/restaurant recommendation for me? I'm new to the city and need things to do.
I don't bite and pretty much respond to everyone who sends me a message that is somewhat readable.

If you're happy to hang out with new people. It doesn't have to be one-on-one, if you like a group idea better I am actually even more comfortable with that.
