My self-summary
I have a talent for finding humor and amusement in everything. I build a good deal of my friendships and relationships off of being able to share a good laugh. Anything fart and/or wiener related is sure to set me off in a giggle-fit. I always use the initials ASS or POO when I play Galaga or Tempest, or the rare night out bowling.

I am shamelessly crude and perverse. The amount of curse words that spew from my mouth is bountiful and diverse. I am willing to say I am probably very different from most of the people you've ever known (translation: I'm weird). I tend to bring up awkward conversation topics. I find awkwardness pretty amusing and sometimes adorable.

Although I have wonderful friends, I am always excited to make new ones. If you love karaoke, comic books, and sci-fi, I am sure we will get along very well. Unless you suck (what? Not everyone is a winner).

I may be silly as fuck, but I have a serious side. I'm very passionate about a plethora of things and people. I turn into a big pile of mush about friends, family, and special guys (I mean boyfriend types). I will do anything for the people close to me. Kind of the soccer mom in my group. I drive everyone everywhere, give advice, offer my comforting hugs and empathy, the voice of reason, cook food for everyone, et cetera.

I'm an open book and prefer to speak my mind. I'm not one for censorship and that includes how I conduct myself in most given circumstances. Parents and grandparents alike still love the crap out of me because I'm just naturally a sweetheart.

Cooking and baking are things I absolutely love and I consider myself a bit of a badass in the kitchen. I try to be a badass about everything though. I also enjoy infusing alcohol and eventually would like to do a little brewing. Even though I enjoy drinking, I do believe in moderation so I'm not a party-till-you-puke type. I'm too old for that shit. I love a good Scotch and have been known to cause trouble/fun with tequila. I love living in the Pacific NW because I can always get amazing beer here.

Movies have been a big part of the kind of person I am. I'm a bit of a movie geek, definitely a cartoon geek if there is such a thing. I have also started getting into comics but I will never catch up and be as hardcore about it as other people are.

Though there are many things I enjoy that I can do while sitting on my ass (reading blogs and listening to stand-up), I also love going outside and doing shit. I like to go hiking, even if it's raining as I have lived in the Pacific NW all my life and I will walk out in the pouring rain in flip flops. I would like to go caving again as well as take more trips to the coast. I have been terrible with this hobby, but I am into archery (recurve, I'm not really into compound bows) and I LOVE shooting guns. I like to hit things with a racquet like tennis and badminton.
What I’m doing with my life
Being a dork both at work and in my leisure time.

I'm also confident in my survival during the zombocalypse, which is important. How do you see yourself spending that time? I spend a decent amount of time honing my skills in badassery and survival.

Planning fun get-togethers like movie marathons, dinner parties, trips to the coast, karaoke nights, hiking, et cetera. I love to be the one encouraging people to get out of their house and hang out with a bunch of other awesome people, doesn't really matter what we end up doing.

I try to spend more time going on adventures and there's so much I want to do and see. So, I try to do all these things within my means and time .

Talking about farts and wieners more than any person with all their marbles should.

I don't have a super serious adult job but I'm pretty responsible. My co-workers are my family/best friends and so far it has kept me happy. Reconsidering doing the school thing, again.
I’m really good at
Making people laugh. I have the skill to ease or increase awkwardness and discomfort.

I'm also good with useless trivia knowledge which are mostly pop culture related items about film and cartoons. Challenge me to Futurama trivia and I will own your ass.

Screaming. Ever want to scare the shit out of someone or just want to use it as a sound clip, I'm your girl.

Cooking, baking, getting my friends drunk, staying up late, making weird facial expressions, being charming, accepting and admitting when I'm wrong. I can face my mistakes and embrace the opportunity to be corrected and learn something new. I'm also good in dealing with chaos. I'm a good shoulder to cry on and oh, I'm a pretty good driver.

Arguing for fun.

Having amazingly awesome dreams. Often dreaming of the zombocalypse or some post-apocalyptic world.

Planning fun events and coming up with ridiculous prizes.
The first things people usually notice about me
The obvious: I'm short and Asian. Sometimes my piercings or my stormtrooper necklace if I'm wearing it. Recently, I have been told how ridiculously far forward my car seat is when I drive. It is as far forward as it can go because my legs are kind of laughably short.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Books: World War Z, anything by Chuck Klosterman or David Sedaris, I read from a lot of anthologies and film related books, Tarzan of the Apes, sci-fi short stories. I don't read as much as I'd like to in all honesty, especially novels. Preacher is my favorite comic. Love Y the Last Man, Fables, DMZ, Sweet Tooth, Transmetropolitan, Chew, Walking Dead, still shy around the super hero comics, I leave that up to my friends to push theirs onto me.

Music: Like everyone, I listen to most things. It goes from from (but isn't limited to) classical (Moonlight Sonata and Clair de Lune are a couple favorites) to soul, rockabilly, electronic, punk, mathematical rock, music composed by Ennio Morricone or Clint Mansell, hip hop, and occasionally some forms of metal. That's easier than listing my favorite bands but if you must know, Queen, the Clash, Misfits, the Pixies, the Ettes, the Cramps, and Ratatat are some of the ones I'll go to when I'm in a crummy mood. Guilty pleasures include (but are not limited to): Boyz II Men, Spice Girls.

I've been compiling a funeral mix since I was a teenager. You never know, life throws curve-balls and I'll be damned if someone plays shitty music at my funeral/wake/death-party/whatever.

Food: I'll try anything once. I love sushi, Thai food, pizza, chips and salsa, Mexican food, Italian, Chinese, Indian, you get the point. I don't believe there is such a thing as 'too much garlic' and bacon and cheese will make anything better.

Movies: I'm a sucker for film so I'll create a quick list just to get an idea of my taste. These are just a few of my favorites...

Blade Runner, Taxi Driver, Alien and Aliens, Total Recall, Forgetting Sarah Marshall, Oldboy, Star Wars (Empire is my favorite of the original trilogy), 28 Days Later, Trainspotting (I LOVE Danny Boyle), Memories of Murder, Brazil, Akira, American History X, An American Werewolf in London, Leon the Professional, True Romance, Battle Royale, the Thing, the Conversation, Nausicaa of the Valley of the Wind (or any Hayao Miyazaki film), et cetera.

Television:
Dexter, 30 Rock, How I Met Your Mother (I love Jason Segel), The Killing, Luther, Parks and Recreation, Spaced. As for cartoons...: Futurama (!), the Simpsons (seasons 1-10ish), South Park, Rocko's Modern Life, Ren and Stimpy, Doug, Ahh! Real Monsters!, Daria, Metalocalypse, Adventure Time, Venture Bros, Boondocks, Sealab 2021, Home Movies. Currently obsessed with Breaking Bad! I would marry Bryan Cranston for his performance in that show.

I love comedy and I live with a comedy nerd that keeps introducing me to some amazing comedians. I'm always down to listen to someone who is new to me and if you have any suggestions, feel free. Some of my favorites are Louis C.K., Patton Oswalt, Brian Posehn, Mitch Hedberg, David Cross, and the list goes on.

I'm ALWAYS down for being introduced to new things and introducing people to the things I love.
The six things I could never do without
It seems like nobody adheres to picking just six, so to hell with it. I'm kind curious as to why six and not five, seven, or ten. I'm going to go ahead and say that my take on it is because six is just so close to being the word sex and for whatever reason, OkCupid is implanting that idea in our heads (the idea that we cannot live without sex) which kind of reinforces the purpose of having dating sites.

Anyway, for the intent and purpose of this box: films, music, my family, my friends, a sense of my humanity, humor, my Shun, sarcasm, cartoons, science
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Everything. I am overkill with over-analysis. Sometimes I think about thinking too much.

I think about films I'd love to write and direct often, or what film classes I would teach.

I think about the past, present, and future and try to improve my views on them.

I like to think about the women I identify most with and who inspire me: Tulip O'Hare, Amélie Poulain, Alabama Whitman, Faye (from Chungking Express), Turanga Leela, and my mom. Yes, most of those women are fictional characters but it doesn't make their impact on the person I like to be more like any less valid.

Right now I have been thinking about going back to school for something completely different than what I previously studied.

Why I can't fall asleep.
On a typical Friday night I am
working, making "your mom" jokes, sometimes going out after a long shift or just going home and watching a movie before bed. Staying up way late.

If it's the last Friday of the month, you can bet your ass I am making an ass of myself on the dance floor.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I'll answer any question (given that you aren't a creep). I have nothing to hide. I wear my heart on my sleeve and I'm an open book. I've done a lot of embarrassing stuff and have done some pretty stupid things so there's some dirt there, I promise.

I fall all the time because I'm ridiculously clumsy. I snore, sometimes murmur, and have been known to punch in my sleep (I was once the victim of one of these punching incidents). Lots of sleep farting.

I make mistakes but I'm always willing to learn from them. I also know I'm not always right (though I'd like to be). I embrace corrections.

This is going to make me sound like a dick but if someone's profile reads 'I'm just a normal/average guy. Blah blah blah' I will usually click out. I am not interested in someone who thinks they are 'normal' or 'just like any other guy' and I honestly don't believe that anyone REALLY believes that. To me, that makes me think that someone doesn't think they are interesting or unique which is kind of what makes having a sense of the self special. Also, it makes me sad.

I tend to lose a bit of interest when someone mentions Chuck Palahniuk as one of their favorite authors. I'm not saying he's terrible or that I haven't read anything from him (I'd say 4 books) and I'm not saying I haven't enjoyed them (probably just 1). I just don't see him being good enough to be a favorite and it bothers me just ever so slightly that so many people love him (I really do think it's a Portland thing). I'm not saying I stop reading someone's interests after that, it just kind of makes me ever so slightly less interested.

I have a hard time trusting people who don't like dogs. What's wrong with you?? Especially if those people are super, creepily obsessed with cats.
I’m looking for
  • Guys who like girls
  • Ages 23–40
  • Located anywhere
  • For new friends, long-term dating, short-term dating, activity partners, long-distance penpals
You should message me if
You wanna have nerdy film conversations.

You can keep up in conversation be it intellectually or jokingly.

You aren't full of shit/you mean what you say.

You like talking about Bigfoot.

You are shamelessly self-aware.

You have a beard (I know, it's one of my silly weaknesses).

You aren't going to ask for nudes or anything related to cybering, sexting, or going out with you to get boned.

You wanna take me shooting sometime. And/or if you want to do archery with me.

You can help me explore comics more and/or music (particularly metal, it's one of those genres I'm still feeling my way around, but so far, I love it. It really helps to have people who are well versed who can make me mixes and such).

You are passionate about something, anything.

You have corgis and need someone to walk and play with them.

You want to take me on a motorcycle ride (I've been wanting one lately)...magic carpet rides work too.

Oh, and if you've got a butt that won't quit (also bonus points, if you get any of my cheesy references).

If you are interested in being my archenemy. I'm not expecting it to just happen instantly. It might take some time but I'm willing to put in the time and effort to make sure that you're proper archenemy material. Do not confuse archenermy with nemesis. I adhere to the Klosterman description. http://www.grendel.org/tsc/klosterman-enemies.htm
