My friends will tell you that I am honest, fun, kind and loyal. I'd like you to confirm :-) At work, I develop new medicines. At home, I love long conversations with my loved one, cook (yes, cook!), watch movies, especially foreign ones. I'm easy going and passionate about everything I do. With more time, I would like to continue to explore the world, with a preference for ancient towns because of their culture and history, and to hike around breathtaking landscapes particularly mountains & lakes when the snow melts...

I'm looking for new friends or for "the one". Not for fling or games.

I develop new medicines to treat serious diseases. I find this job fulfilling and wouldn't see myself doing anything different. It was quite a journey to get there, which has taught me about who I am, what I want and how to make choices for a happier and more rewarding life. I enjoy using my (few) remaining neurons to do something with an impact in the world.

While friends have difficulty understanding what I do, they easily assume that because of a MIT degree, I'm a "nerd" who should be able to fix (their) computers, (their) cell phones and (their) electronic gizmos. In order not to disappoint them, I have learned over time to fix these things and even enjoy it. Anyone got a broken phone? :-)

Despite long hours, I have flexibility in my schedule and have emotional room to accommodate "the one".

- fixing things: i've probably fixed nearly everything around you (espresso machines, cameras, computers, cell phones, TV, projectors, cars, you name it!)
- forecasting the weather (try me!).
- blind guessing zodiac signs (even if I don't truly care what your sign is in the end)
- blind tasting wine (I care!)
- photography
- baking: my specialties include caramelized apple tart, molten lava chocolate cake, creme brulee or thick gooey chocolate chip walnut cookies (similar to those from Levain bakery in NYC). If I can't post photos due to okcupid policy, better, I can bring you some when we meet :-)
- cooking: I've been told I make a killer seafood paella and royal couscous. Would you be my "partner in crime" hungry enough to share the "killer paella" ?

Tough to say. If I'd meet myself for the first time, I'd notice that I am mixed, with a slight accent from an unidentifiable region of the world. This makes it nearly impossible for most to guess where I'm from... I know people who meet me first notice I'm passionate and intense. After a few days, they realize I am also much more mellow and laid back than they originally thought.

- Food: From freshest organic ingredients cooked in bain marie to spicy indian or thai food. For sweets, preference for delicate French desserts (I don't like anything too sweet)
- Movies: Udaan, Ulzhan, Mother, The beat that my heart skipped, The kite runner, The man who wanted to live his life. You may not have heard of these, but foreign movies "turn me on" as they help traveling and discovering new cultures right from home!
- Music: coldplay, guster, kings of convenience, sigur ros, maroon 5. Mostly soft rock. Quite open in terms of music. I like to put on Pandora to discover new songs.
- Books: my mother used to be a librarian, so I have a special connection to books (and have too many of them...)

- how to maintain the outside crispiness of home baked chocolate chip cookies (any advice?)

- how people can best use their gifts to improve the world. I don't mean to say we should all do it - I've passed this naive stage of my life, but I try to find ways to improve myself as a human being, show respect to others and to the world, and potentially give it a try at some point. I intend to work actively in big impact non-profits in the next few years. I admire Bill Clinton and Bill Gates for their work, passion and dedication. I have a few other role models that I'd like to emulate. I'm curious to know about yours.

Meeting up friends to catch up, watching a movie at home, having friends over for dinner. Friday is also a good day to chill at home, rest and reflect on the week that just passed.
