My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
This section is rather long-winded. I suggest you get a snack... something with peanut butter.
Feel free to ponder the meaning of life in between stanzas.
Allow the words to sink in, let out an audible sigh if you are feeling so inclined.

If you're "not sure about this whole online dating thing" then don't waste my time. I have no expectations and I am interested in all kinds of connections you might be offering, from friendship to dating to cuddle buddies.

The Information Age has caused human interaction to be so commonplace, that it has lost almost all of it's value. It's no longer a commodity; it's as common as the air that we breathe. Some of us have begun to rely on it, as if it were the air itself. A "Like" here, a comment there. It has begun to sustain us, replacing real connections, and making them archaic and unnecessary. But they're hollow. How are we supposed to distinguish attention worth valuing as opposed to the typical, empty compliments constantly strewn across our screens? Patience and time? How are we supposed to remember the value of a true connection? Wisdom and experience? I am not a dating site profile, a collection of photographs, or a well-written collection of texts meant to gain your attention. I am not a shiny object, which will appear to lose its glimmer when the "next best thing" comes along. I am a human fucking being, as are we all, and I am not interested in being your, or anyone else's daily dose of positive external affirmation. I don't have all of the answers; I only offer a real connection, with a very unique and caring individual. Interested?

You're convinced there is a fairy-tale ending out there for you, and there is, it just probably isn't quite what you expected. You joke about being a "princess" looking for "prince charming", but the fact is, deep down, you have sincere hope in that fantasy coming true. I do not want a princess, and I am no prince. This isn't hey just a Disney movie, which is probably where your unrealistic expectations come from. The beautiful princess and the handsome prince fall in love with each other based on looks alone. It's time to have more realistic expectations and allow yourself to find a truly meaningful relationship grounded in reality. I am not that imaginary man. I do not want to be that man. I want to be myself, who I really am. You are not a helpless damsel in distress. You're a grown, strong woman. I respect and fear you, for the terrible and wonderful things you can do my heart. I do not want to change you, I want to take you as you are and grow with you. I am not a prince, a knight, or a fairy-tale ending; I am just a man, in search of his better half. That being said, I do have some unrealistic expectations myself, and I am sincerely working on that.

If none of the previous describes you, do not take offense, instead bask in the glory of your own awesomeness.

Why would god have a gender, if he clearly doesn't reproduce. Why did I just call him a he? Are you offended that I didn't capitalize God and He?

I'd like to think I’m awesome. I’m creative, honest, intelligent, witty, quick, playful, quirky, and loyal. I love animals of all kinds. I have a dog and a cat. I’m a bit of a geek. I used to be an underground rapper... no seriously. I try to read comic books occasionally, as somewhat of an ode to my childhood. I am socially somewhat conservative, politically libertarian and religiously a Christian-raised agnostic. Oh yeah, and I don't do drugs. Oh, and I’m mostly Italian. :) I have a steady, solid income and get to do what I love. I am a graphic designer and do a bit of investing. I also hear that I look more like I'm in my mid-20's.

I’m looking for a girl who can keep up with me mentally, and I’m fairly certain I wouldn't run into her at a club. Maybe a book club, but that clearly isn't what I meant. Smart ass.

The children in my photo are my niece and nephew. They're the sweetest kids.

If angels need wings to fly, does that mean heaven is a planet and has gravity?

No matter what, you will have the wrong impression of me. I am one of those in the minority that is truly genuine and susceptible to actual human emotion on here. You're all heartless robots, I think (that all seem to enjoy camping, and hiking).

If we truly have "free will", why weren't we asked if we wanted to exist? Perhaps we were, and we chose to, but have no recollection of it.

Phew. You made it, congratulations. You're a good person and people like you.
You're thinking "this person is either insane or a genius" at this point... you're not wrong.
